Xuancheng Longchuan Hu ancestral hall's natural work is not as good as manual work.

Climbing up the steps to the ancient temple is another "fairyland". Rows of French windows and doors are all carved in vases, with hexagonal, octagonal, semi-circular, diamond, big mouth, long neck and other shapes. They are beautifully carved and very lovely. The bottle mouth is engraved with four seasons flowers such as plum, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum, peony, Hosta and begonia. It can be said that "the daily work can be changed, and the artificial day is not as good as it is."

Coming out of the main hall, we walked into the side room on the east side of the main temple. Its structure is divided into upper and lower halls, the height of which is only half that of the main hall. Wood carving is simple and unique. This is an auxiliary temple. Why build this sub-temple? According to legend, Longchuan is boat-shaped, and the whole village is surnamed Hu. If a ship sails on the sea, it can't stop without an iron anchor. So a Ding family from another village was invited to live in this temple. Ding family was like an iron anchor nailed to a big ship. What's more strange is that this Ding Shi family has been handed down from generation to generation16th generation, and what is the reason is still a mystery. There is more than one "mystery" in the ancient temple. The ancient temple has been overhauled for more than 400 years, but no spiders can be found. Some people say that the ancient temple is related to the selection of high-quality wood, while others say that the key is that the ancient temple is located in a treasure trove of geomantic omen. Although this "mystery" has not been solved, but there is no spider web, the flower carving is more beautiful.

It is probably the children's love for Huizhou woodcarving art, and it is also a treasure house of outstanding people. Many domestic and foreign people and tourists, whether on business in southern Anhui or visiting Huangshan Mountain, have to rush to this village to visit and taste. The woodcarving art of this ancient temple attracts more than 10 thousand tourists every year. Further, it greatly demonstrated the elegant demeanor of the "pearl" of the ancient temple.
