Travels of Lianzhou underground river travelers

Mysterious and magnificent underground river

Author Qin Mu

"Karst phenomenon" has created thousands of miracles in many parts of the world. Although people have long known that limestone caves are like natural magicians, which can change many magical realms, when people encounter new landscapes, they will still send out a series of exclamation marks, which will make people fall into dreams, such as climbing into fairy tales and becoming dreamers in fairy tales. Recently, I visited an underground river with a length of 1500m in Lianzhou, northern Guangdong, and I have such a strange feeling.

Lianzhou (now the location of Lianxian County) is a famous ancient city in China, which is famous for its magnificent scenery. Liu Yuxi, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, was exiled to Lianzhou for five years, during which he wrote many poems and described the scenery here. He has a poem "Send Cao Kun back to Vietnam", in which he wrote a sentence: "If Tunxi asks Lianzhou, only the castle peak can't be painted." He praised Lianzhou's scenery as incomparable to painting. However, not only did Liu Yuxi never go to this underground river when he lived here, but no one in the past dynasties ever went there. Because it was discovered only a few years ago.

It turns out that in Dadong Village, Dongbei Town, northern Lianzhou, there is a wonderful natural cave called Dakouyan (the mouth of the cave is very big, like a big mouth). It is divided into three floors with a tourist area of 40,000 square meters. There is a zenith column as high as 30 meters on the upper floor, which can accommodate 10,000 people in Xianchang Square. There is a pool of green spring water at the bottom, which meanders into the depths of the cave. No one knows where it leads. A few years ago, several adventurous farmers made up their minds to find out. They tied a small bamboo raft, prepared torches, brought dry food, entered the cave and explored carefully. Everyone finally figured out that this is an underground river that ships can pass through. The water depth is1-7m, with the widest part exceeding10m and the narrowest part only 4m. The ceiling of the underground river is as high as10-15m. The river runs through four mountains and winds 1500 meters. Dakouyan and nearby right ophiolite and lotus rock were once interlinked. The findings of these villagers gradually spread. People used to go to Dakouyan and always praised its ground, but now most people turn to rowing underground rivers. Then even China Travel Agency set up a management area here. The news spread like wildfire, and people who came to this mountain city in northern Guangdong on 20 13 came to Dakouyan one after another.

We were also invited to visit a mysterious and spectacular underground river. We went in through the hole of Lianhuayan, which was just the opposite of the exploration route of the villagers a few years ago. In the wilderness near the mouth of the cave, I saw a small river gurgling. The owner said it overflowed from the underground river. The water source of the underground river is several gushing mountain springs, which is a bit like Baotu Spring in Jinan. Walking down from the hole step by step, there are two small motorboats parked there, each of which can take about 10 people. Because of the strong light, the scenery on both sides of the river is "full of flowers" and can be seen clearly. The ceiling of the cave, because it is generally tens of meters away from the water, looks like a strange deep night sky. Rowing on the river feels very interesting, a bit like dreaming, and a bit like entering the realm of myths or fairy tales. I think: if there is a Chinese Alice in Wonderland in the future, the wonders of this cave should be photographed more and more, so that people outside will be intoxicated.

This underground river, like some rivers on the ground, has also formed some beautiful "canyons"! Where the stone walls on both banks are towering and the river channel is narrow, a river gorge is formed. There are three canyons in the river, named Bajiao Gorge, Lianhua Gorge and Longmen Gorge because of their different shapes. When crossing the gorge, looking up at the stone wall is very steep and majestic. There are stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone flowers and stone curtains on both sides of the river. , weird posture. People from travel agencies have given them all kinds of names, such as the wife's stone, the monkey table, the soldiers in Han Xin, and the pearl grabbing by Ssangyong. When I visit caves, I always pay little attention to the names of the scenery. Give yourself an analogy. You can say that they are one way or another, or that they are all kinds of grotesque stone curtains. Needless to say, they are interesting. The most dazzling and wonderful thing is that some stone curtains are phosphorescent, which makes the underground river more mysterious.

According to the people on board, there are fish in this underground river, probably catfish, crucian carp and other small fish. They have caught them. At night, the ship anchored on the river bank. When they went to work in the cave early the next morning, sometimes they saw one or two small fish jump up automatically and stay in the belly of the boat.

It took us an hour and thirty minutes to go back and forth by boat. At this time, there is really a dreamlike feeling of roaming in wonderland. We can't help talking about Tao Qian's Peach Blossom Spring, thinking that it is by no means a fake, but should be true. Today, when the population has doubled and the traffic is developed, we often hear that where caves are found, there are some mountain people who have little contact with the outside world, not to mention the era of war and traffic jams more than Qian Yu years ago!
