Xiaoyao Village is located in the southeast of Zhang Ying Town, with 385 households and a population of 1 450. It consists of eight residents' groups, including 38 party member residents, including 5 party member women. Xiaoyao Village has a cultivated land area of more than 4,700 mu, mainly planting wheat, corn, apples and asparagus. Wheat covers an area of more than 2,000 mu, and the planting area of apple trees, peach trees, jujube trees, cotton and asparagus is about 2,000 mu. On August 26th, 2020, patriotic health campaign committee, Shanxi Province named Xiaoyao Village as the Health Village of Shanxi Province from 2020 to 2022.

There are some tourist attractions near Xiaoyao Village, such as Pujiu Temple, Stork Tower, Altar Grand Canyon, Wulaofeng National Scenic Area and Xuehuashan Scenic Area. There are Yongji Big Cherry, Yongji Asparagus, Zhou Pu Green Persimmon, Laojinzihua and Yang Ren Township Persimmon.
