At about 3: 30 am on August 9, a fire broke out in a sugar, tobacco and liquor grocery store in Quantang Village, Xilu Town, Chaoyang City, and the owner Lin and his wife and children were killed.
At 4 o'clock in the morning 12, Chaoyang fire squadron immediately dispatched two fire engines and 15 officers and men to put out the fire. By 5: 05 in the morning, all the fires had been put out. Through on-the-spot investigation and inquiries of insiders and witnesses, it is concluded that the 14 inch color TV set used for a long time in the forest grocery store was short-circuited, which ignited the surrounding combustible materials and spread to the second floor along the wooden ladder. Because three windows on the second floor were welded to death by iron bars, the fire at the stairs was fierce, and the owners living on the second floor could not escape. Unfortunately, all of them were killed and all the windows on the second floor of the scene were broken. It is reported that the fire area is 35 square meters, resulting in three deaths and direct economic losses of 33,800 yuan.
