2. Land: The soil where fennel grows is preferably sandy. Ensure that it is loose and fertile, and such land is more suitable for its growth. Before planting, the soil should be deepened to about 20cm, and some farmyard manure or compound fertilizer should be added to the soil. If the soil is not clean, you can also add a little quicklime or disinfect it with potassium permanganate.
3. Germination: Put the purchased fennel seeds into clear water to make the seeds germinate faster. The seeds you choose should not be too old, or they will not germinate. Don't be greedy and cheap when buying seeds, lest the germination rate be too low.
4. Planting: dig a ditch in the ground, about 5cm deep, then put the seeds in the ditch, cover it with soil for 2cm, and pour some water to make the soil moist. It should be noted that don't dig too deep trenches. If it is too deep, it is difficult for the seeds to germinate.
