The legend of Wang Mushan in Shucheng

Legend has it that a man named Yang San lost his father when he was a child, and the mother and son lived a hard life. He dug a mountain to cultivate the land. In a tree in the field, an old crow is feeding a little crow. Later, the old crow became blind, and the little crow fed the old crow every day. Yang San was very moved and thought that birds have the virtue of feeding back, so people should do better and be more filial to their mothers from now on. It was a stormy day. Yang hung up his mother at home and was in a hurry to go home. Knowing that the old mother saw the change of the weather and worried that her son would get sick in the rain, she quickly sent a hemp fiber and a hat. The son went down the mountain and the mother went up the mountain, separated by a steep cliff. Both of them were afraid that the other was in danger and rushed forward desperately. Just then, a whirlwind came, but my mother was old and weak, tripped over the willow roots at her feet and fell into the river under the cliff. Yang San jumped into the river to save his mother. Seeing the mountain torrents soaring, he lifted a big stone to stop the water. He saw his mother drifting for a while, thinking it was sediment deposition, and desperately dug the river by hand. Yang San didn't save his mother. Sadly, he climbed up the mountain and looked at the rushing river, which gradually turned into rocks. So there are Yangliudan, Shisai River, Gravel Beach (now corpse beach) and Bayang River (Baniang River), which is also called Wang Mushan.
