It is formed in the metamorphic marble of magnesium carbonate rock, and its appearance is turquoise or yellow-green, translucent, waxy after polishing, and its hardness is 3.5 to 5 degrees. The jade used in Hongshan Culture in the Neolithic Age, produced in Xiyugou, is a uranium ore, commonly known as old jade, and is tremolite nephrite. Most of the jades unearthed from Fu Hao's tomb in Shang Dynasty are similar to uranium jade in Xiuyan Wagou Mine. Xiuyu Mine in Wagou Mine has a long history and rich reserves. At present, it is the main jade mining area in China, accounting for about 60% of the national output.
Xiuyan County, located in Xiuyan, Liaoning, China, is a place with beautiful scenery, rich products and hidden wind and gas. After thousands of years of natural evolution, it has condensed the essence of thousands of years of mountains and rivers, thus producing a world-famous national treasure-xiuyan jade.
Xiuyan jade is one of the four famous jade in China, with the largest output and materials. However, because of its low hardness, jadeite is easy to be worn off in the cleaning process, which makes the original weak luster gradually dim, far less than the brightness of jadeite. So jade is a low-grade jade material. However, when making large jade carving seats and small and medium-sized ornaments, it is still a popular jade species because of its low hardness requirements.
Generally divided into two categories, one is old jade (also known as Hemo jade), which is a kind of precious original stone jade with simple and dignified texture and dark green color. The other is nephrite, which is solid and moist, delicate and round, mostly green, of which pure white and golden are rare treasures.
Jade is mostly green, so in addition to the above functions, it is of great significance to people who like the five elements of numerology. If I put the jade at home or in the office, or wear it myself, it will bring me good luck. If you can like it from the heart and get close to it from the heart, in the long run, it will be closely connected with Meiyu's heart, and your fate will change from now on.
Xiuyu is an important member of China Gem Family. It is the earliest jade species discovered and utilized, which has been valued by all previous dynasties. It can be called "the light of ancient jade, the treasure of a thousand years". From the earliest jade in China to the largest jade in the world, as well as many fine jade carvings known as national treasures at present, they are all from Xiuyu jade, with delicate and moist texture, which can be called "the spirit of heaven and earth, the treasure of China". Traditionally, serpentine jade is also called Xiuyu, named after Xiuyan County, Liaoning Province. However, in some places, names such as Xinyiyu, Luchuanyu and Taiwanyu have appeared, which often causes confusion in the market, so that buyers can't understand what their essence is. Therefore, the national standard stipulates that gem-grade serpentine is named after "serpentine", and the place of origin does not participate in the naming. Only Xiuyu jade was named as a variety of serpentine jade alone. According to the origin of serpentine, it can be divided into the following categories:
1. Jiuquan serpentine jade: It is produced in Qilian Mountain, Gansu Province, and the surface of jade often contains black blocks.
2. Xinyi's serpentine jade: produced in Xinyi County, Guangdong Province, the jade surface has different shades of green patterns.
3. Luchuan serpentine jade: produced in Luchuan County, Guangxi, with pale white patterns on the jade surface.
4. Serpentine jade in Taiwan Province Province: produced in Hualien County, Taiwan, with dark green stripes on the jade surface.
