The Twin Towers were built in the 27th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1599). The Petronas Twin Towers are octagonal and seven-story, 23.15 meters high, and the diameter of the first floor is 9.8 meters. The tower body is folded up inside the wall, with false platforms on each floor. The base of the tower is decorated with carved stone slabs and is one meter high. There are stone-carved tower figures embedded in the edges and corners of the tower, with simple images and different postures.
The Twin Towers were listed as county-level cultural relics protection units in 1983 and municipal-level cultural relics protection units in 1991.
In 2000, the Wuchuan Twin Towers in Zhanjiang were listed as Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.
