Caotang Town belongs to Xi Huyi District, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the southeast of the district, bordering Chang 'an District in the east, Pangguang Town in the west, Guifeng Mountain in the south and Qin Dou Town in the north. It is 0/5km away from Hu Yi/KLOC-0 and 29km away from the downtown of Xi, with a total area of 40 square kilometers.
The predecessor of Caotang Town is Song Cun Township. 1988 was built in the countryside and named after "Caotang Smoke", one of the eight scenic spots in Guanzhong. There are 7665 households in 34 administrative villages with a total agricultural population of 3 1460. The jurisdiction is located at the northern foot of Qinling Mountains, with high terrain in the south and low terrain in the north. The geological system is a piedmont alluvial-diluvial fan belt with three different landforms: sloping land, floodplain and plain.
