" "Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes Sutra" says: "If food and drink are poisoned and you recite the Great Compassion Guanyin Mantra with sincerity, then eating this food will turn into wonderful heavenly food." "The Eleven Sided Sutra" says: "If you recite this mantra, then Thousands of eyes look down on you, and thousands of hands protect you. If you bless the water with this mantra, the karma of anyone who drinks this water will be purified. Anyone who hears this mantra or is touched by the sound of the mantra will also be able to purify their karma. "The Six-Character Great Ming Mantra Sutra" says: "Whoever recites the mantra of 'Om Mani Padme Hum' can avoid the damage of all diseases, obtain liberation from it, purify all karma, gain longevity, and "The Treasure Box Sutra" says: "If you recite the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra, you will have sufficient merit. When you recite this mantra, Buddhas as numerous as the sand in the Ganges River will come in person, and Bodhisattvas as numerous as the dust particles will also come in person. Dragon, Jiupantu, and the four heavenly kings will personally come and protect it. All sentient beings in the human body can achieve the status of a Bodhisattva without regression. If you recite this mantra, you will be able to possess pure boundless kindness, compassion, and wisdom. If you recite this mantra every day, you will achieve the perfection of the six perfections, attain the wheel-turning throne of vidyādhi, and achieve supreme bodhi. Buddhahood. Even if you only touch this clear mantra, you will become the last Bodhisattva. If you are a man or a woman, if you are a boy or a virgin, if you only see this clear mantra, you will become the last Bodhisattva." "Yisuo Sutra" says: "If a sentient person who hears this Avalokitesvara mantra recites this mantra in the ears of others, he will be reborn in the Western Paradise after being liberated from the evil realm." "Israel Chakra Sutra" says: "If every Those who recite the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra 1,800 times a day will purify all sins and obstacles, and be liberated from diseases, demons and other adverse conditions." "The One Hundred and Eight Names Sutra" says: "If you recite Om Mani. Those who practice Padme Hum will not fall into the three lower realms, and will not be infected with leprosy, yellow skin diseases, ulcers, emphysema and other diseases caused by their karma, and will be liberated from them. They will be able to recall all past lives and destiny. "I will be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss." The "Buddha Speaks of the Mahayana Jewel King Sutra" says: "Good man, all the dust on the earth can be counted, and the merit accumulated by reciting the six-character Great Ming Mantra is innumerable; all the drops of water in the ocean can be counted. The merits of reciting the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra are innumerable, good man, for example, a house with a length of one hundred leagues each and a height of five hundred leagues is filled with sesame seeds, and at the door there is an immortal person. Even if you take out one grain in a calamity, even if you try to count all the merits of reciting the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra within the time it takes to take out all the sesame seeds, you can’t count all the merits of reciting the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra. Good man, all the grains of barley, peas, wheat and other grains in the four continents can be counted. The merits of reciting the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra are innumerable, good man, just like looking at the eleven major rivers such as the Ganges and the five hundred small rivers attached to them that flow into the sea day and night, and chanting the six-syllable mantra. The merits of the Great Ming Mantra are also increased in this way. The number of water drops in the river can be counted, and the merits of reciting the six-character Great Ming Mantra are innumerable. Good man, the horses, elephants and other livestock in the world, and the mountain animals such as deer, Although the hairs of lions, tigers, rabbits and other animals can be counted, the merit accumulated by reciting the six-syllable mantra cannot be counted. Good man, for example, there is a Vajra Iron Mountain that is ninety-nine thousand leagues high, one million and four thousand leagues wide, and ten million leagues long. There is an immortal person on the side of the mountain. It takes a hundred kalpas to grind this mountain once, and even within the time it takes for the mountain to disappear, the merit accumulated by reciting the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra is incalculable. Good man, for example, a sea is eighty-four thousand yojanas deep and as wide as an ocean surrounded by an iron mountain. One hundredth of the water droplets as big as a human hair can be counted. The merit accumulated by reciting the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra is innumerable. Good man, for example, one can count all the leaves in the garden with one breath, and one can gather countless merits by reciting the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra. Good man, for example, all the men, women, boys, and virgins in the four continents are all Bodhisattvas of the Seventh Level, and their merits are not as good as the merits accumulated by reciting the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra. Good man, during the twelfth month of a year or the thirteenth month with a leap month, there are countless raindrops regardless of day or night, and the merit accumulated by reciting the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra is innumerable.
There is no need to say more, for me and for my good deeds, the merits of offering up to ten million people in one calamity with wonderful clothes, etc., cannot be compared with the accumulation of merits of the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra, let alone offering them to me. What is the virtue of being alone? "The Lotus Crown Tantra" says: "Just one recitation, one mindfulness (recollection), or one touch of 'Om Mani Padme Hum' can also purify the five uninterrupted sins, the nearly five uninterrupted sins, and all other sins and obstacles, and remove them from the eight impeccable sins." Songtsen Gampo, the Buddha of Infinite Light on his head who is the embodiment of the saint Avalokitesvara, and the Dharma King Songtsen Gampo who currently resides in the nature of the Dharma Realm, said: "Om Mani Padme Hum" is the illusory body text, which can accomplish all kinds of things. Benefit; it is also a Chinese character, which can be successfully recited. The terma collection of the terma master Lerab Lampa (the former life of the Dharma King’s wish-fulfilling treasure) says: “All the good deeds in the ten directions and the most essence of the wish-fulfilling treasure are gathered in this six-character mantra, which can quickly achieve the Buddhahood of the third generation.
"If you meditate on the wish-fulfilling treasures of all the Buddhas' essences that you want to achieve, you can eliminate all temporary diseases, famines, swords, and damage to the four major adverse conditions, and your life span, merit, wealth, and use will be greatly increased. All Buddhas The Bodhisattva and all the heavenly beings in the White Square will guard and protect you. All the karma, troubles, pain, sins and habits created from the beginning will not be left behind. You will be far away from reincarnation, evil realms, and all the sufferings in the bardo. You will be reborn in the land of bliss in the solemn lotus. Obtain the Buddha's position of all wisdom. All sutras, tantras, tips and teachings all say: This is the only wish-fulfillment treasure for those who want to be liberated. Therefore, the six-syllable Great Ming Mantra should be practiced diligently and is not for those who are unlucky. For example, in "The Sutra of the Majestic Precious King of the Mahayana", the Buddha said to Bodhisattva Remove Obstacles that at that time, in order to obtain the six-character mantra of "Om Mani Padme Hum", the Buddha made offerings to thousands of Tathagatas in the countless worlds. , I have not yet obtained it, but I got it later by making offerings to the Tathagata Shenglian, and Tathagata Shenglian also made offerings to the Infinite Tathagata to obtain this method. So now that everyone can meditate and practice this method, they should be grateful and think about it.
If you truly possess the right knowledge and right views, have incredible and unyielding faith in the Buddha’s measure of wisdom, and have a firm understanding of the incredible blessing power of the three faculties of this mantra, then Not only do we recite this mantra diligently during the day, but we also recite it diligently at night.
In contrast, the worst thing we have now is our confidence. At this time, we call this kind of upside-down worldly wisdom and debate that does not belong to listening, thinking, and cultivating wisdom the upside-down habits that are contrary to Prajnaparamita. Under the control of this kind of nausea, all living beings have evil thoughts, delusions, and illegal behaviors all day long. , these cynical and discriminating minds are not true wisdom, but become an obstacle to attaining siddhi. Most of today's sentient beings have gross worries and evil views. Most of them do not believe in the existence of past and future lives, and do not recognize the six paths of reincarnation and karma. Of course, they do not. People who do not carefully choose and discard good and evil karma will also have wrong views on the merits of the mantra that have been blessed by the incredible powers of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. I have written and recited the mantra, but where can I find any merit? For such people, the Buddhas of the ten directions and the Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Avalokitesvara of Compassion have appeared in person to teach and educate them. It will not benefit him at all. In the end, he will still be trapped in life and death, and it is difficult to escape from life to life. Therefore, we should not distinguish why "Om Mani Padme Hum" has such great merit and power. What are the functions of purifying karmic obstacles, closing the door to reincarnation, restoring the body of discipline, covering up karma, and annihilating evil harm? ...
It has been repeatedly emphasized that confidence is the foundation of achievement. Do you doubt the merits of mantras? If you don’t believe it, or if you believe it but are lazy and distracted, and your recitation is not as good as the Dharma, it is certainly impossible to get great blessings. On the contrary, if your faith is true and pure, then the merits of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are real and true, and the mantra has been blessed by deep samadhi. The power is incredible, and I firmly believe that those who recite the Guanyin mantra devoutly will temporarily eliminate their karma, clear up their wisdom, and eliminate obstacles, and ultimately achieve the same fruition as Guanyin Bodhisattva. But for the sentient beings in the six realms, those who are ignorant, do not have the ability to understand the meaning of words, and have no chance to receive the wonderful Dharma, and those who are evil demons, ordinary people who are wise and eloquent, and have deep wrong views and have difficulty believing in the holy words, all these have become The fundamental obstacle to obtaining the merits of the Six-Word Great Ming Mantra is that poor sentient beings, Guanyin Bodhisattva’s great compassion bestows the wish-fulfilling treasure but has no chance to use it and suffers in vain
