Durian is also called durian. It is a giant tropical evergreen tree of Malvaceae, with long and round leaves, sharp, cymes, yellowish color, football-sized fruit, solid peel and dense triangular thorns. Durian is one of the famous tropical fruits, which is native to Malaysia. Some countries in Southeast Asia grow more crops, among which Thailand grows the most. It is also planted in China, Guangdong and Hainan. Durian is very famous in Thailand and is known as the "king of fruit". Its smell is strong, people who love it praise its smell, and people who hate it complain about its smell.
There is a legend that during the Ming Dynasty in ancient China, when the long-distance fleet arrived in today's Southeast Asia and tasted the local specialty fruit, Zheng He greatly praised this fruit. But this kind of fruit can only be harvested once a year, so it is named nostalgia, and later generations take its homonym, called durian.
Method of selecting durian:
1, look at the appearance
The ear of mature durian fruit is soft, and the adjacent ear is easy to approach. If the thorn is hard, it means that the fruit is raw. You can also judge the maturity of durian by pressing the hardness of the fruit. Soft and elastic when pressed, with good fruit maturity.
2. Look at the size and color
Generally speaking, fruits with large size, good maturity and high maturity are yellowish, light yellow or dark yellow. If the color is blue, the fruit is raw.
3. Look at the degree of cracking
Usually, fruits with high maturity will have some cracks. You can choose some cracked durians to ensure that durians are mature enough. Of course, the cracks should not be too big, otherwise the pulp will be polluted.
Step 4 smell it
Fruits with good maturity have a strong smell, and fruits eaten raw have a green smell. However, if you smell alcohol, it means that durian has gone bad.
