When is the best time to visit the Wen Chang Tower?

The best time for Wen Chang Tower: all year round.

Wen Bai Pagoda is located on Meizhi Mountain (also known as Maanshan) behind Hua Hui Temple in An Wen Town, Pan 'an County. It was built in June of the third year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (AD 1607), and it still stands tall after vicissitudes. At that time, the construction funds were raised by a man named Chen. This is a Feng Shui Tower, which aims to make An Wen prosperous, so it was named Wen Chang, and now it is a key cultural relic protection unit in the county.

The tower is 43.68m high, 24.68m in circumference and1.5m in wall thickness. This is a pavilion-type hollow brick tower with six sides and seven floors, which has a stone foundation, special blue bricks, lime caulking and external plaster. There is sandalwood between each floor, and the upper floor is paved. You can reach the top floor by hovering along the stairs. The outer wall between the second floor of the tower is covered with water chestnut teeth, and the eaves are upturned, which is magnificent. There are three arched windows on each floor for tourists to watch. An iron gourd is placed at the top of the tower, and a dragon fork is inserted at the top to prevent wind and lightning. Climbing to the top of the tower, you can have a panoramic view of the unique scenery, flower terrace, Luo Feng and Xishan, and overlook the banks of Wenxi, where there are many high-rise buildings and colorful weather. Chen Shifang, a scholar in the Ming Dynasty, wrote in his poem Dengchang Wenta: I am fascinated by the steps, and the plains are covered with wheat. I feel that the sky is near and the law is still low. Looking back at Ling Duxiu, the high standard falls around Shuangxi. Earth spirit should surround itself with excellent people, and the sky is purple and brilliant.
