Coconut tree, 15-30m high, stout stems, ring-shaped leaf scars, thickened base and often clustered small roots. The leaves are clustered, with a stout petiole at the top of the stem. The leaves are pinnately divided and are 1m long. Most of the lobes with a length of 3-4m are folded outward, linear and lanceolate, with a length of 65- 100cm and a width of 3-4cm, and the tips are gradually leathery. The axil length of ear axis is 1.5-2m. Multi-branched male flowers are clustered in the upper branches, and female flowers are scattered in the lower part of spindle-shaped thick wood, with a length of 60- 100cm or more.
