Before the Ming Dynasty, there was a saying that "Yuquan hangs the rainbow" and it was listed as one of the eight scenic spots in Yanjing. According to legend, Emperor Qianlong of Qinggan often visited this place for sightseeing. In order to verify the water quality of this spring, people drew water samples from famous springs all over the country and compared them with Yuquan water. According to the weighing results, the quality of each bucket (silver bucket) of Jinan Pearl Spring, Wuxi Huishan Spring, Hangzhou Tiger Running Spring and Suzhou Tiger Hill Spring is above 122%, and only Yuquan water has only one or two, which is light and high quality, pure and sweet, so Qianlong gave it the title of the first spring in the world and inscribed "Yuquan Tutu".
