Historical events in Muling town

On August 1945 and 19, the Soviet Red Army entered the northeast from the east, north and west lines. Yamakaji, Liumao Village, Muling Town, Heilongjiang Province, is the location of the second line of defense set by the Japanese army on the Eastern Front against the Soviet Union. According to the archives of the Russian Ministry of Defence, the 5th Army190th Infantry Division of the First Army of the Soviet Far East fought fiercely with the Japanese Kwantung Army124th Division near Yamakaji, and * * * 4 13 Soviet soldiers were killed.

When the Soviet army fought the Japanese army in Yamakaji, the fierce fighting ignited a fire, and the mountains were burned red for several days and nights. Yamakaji was thus remembered.

One day in August, 20 12, Liu Lailin, a villager from Liumao Village, Muling Town, Muling City, accidentally discovered the remains of Soviet Red Army martyrs on the burning mountain near the village. On May 15 and 12, the "First Sino-Russian Joint Search for the Remains of Soviet Martyrs Sacrificed in China" was held. Chinese and Russian search teams conducted a one-month search for the remains of Soviet martyrs in Yamakaji, Muling Town, Muling City.
