How to divide the compass

Most people use compasses to divide the whole week into twenty-four mountains, which is the most commonly used layer of the Flying Star School.

The mysterious hexagrams school uses a layer on the compass that divides the day into sixty-four hexagrams.

Generally, Cheng Gua is formed by overlapping two original hexagrams with three paintings, the upper one is called Tian Gua, and the lower one is called Di Gua. Digua includes the first hexagram, the second hexagram and the third hexagram; Divine hexagrams include four hexagrams, five hexagrams and upper hexagrams. One long painting (-) represents yang, and two short paintings (-) represent yin.

On the compass, one hexagram only takes up one-sixty-four degrees of a week, that is to say, each hexagram only takes up 5.625 degrees. On the compass, a circle is divided into sixty-four equal squares, and each square represents one hexagram. And how are the six hexagrams of each hexagram distributed?

The six hexagrams of each hexagram on the compass are divided into six parts, which is 5.625 degrees occupied by one hexagram. Therefore, there are 64 hexagrams in a week, and each hexagram has six hexagrams, which is 384 hexagrams. The degree of each hexagram is less than one degree, and the six hexagrams are also divided into six small squares on the compass.

Generally, hexagrams are arranged from the bottom initial hexagram to the top hexagram, but how are the six hexagrams in a hexagram on the compass distributed?

The six hexagrams on the compass are also arranged in sequence, but there are two ways of arrangement: clockwise and counterclockwise.

whether the six hexagrams on the compass are arranged in the right or wrong direction is determined by the number of letters in the upper hexagrams.

when the innate hexagrams are matched with Luo Shu numbers, the results are Gan Jiu, Dui Si, Li San, Zhen Ba, Xun Er, Kan Qi, Gen Liu and Kun Yi.

The number of Luo Shu in each divination is one, three, seven and nine, which are arranged counterclockwise, with the initial hexagram on the right and the upper hexagram on the left.

The number of Luo Shu of each divination is two, four, six and eight, which are arranged clockwise, with the first hexagram on the left and the upper hexagram on the right.

(Note: When you look at the data on the compass, you always look out from Tianchi in the center of the compass. )

on the compass, the top of each hexagram will be marked with the word "Shang", while the first hexagram will be marked with the word "Dao", which is actually a shorthand for the first character.
