The implication of Cangshan Erhai Lake

There is a charming scenery in Yunnan, that is Erhai Lake. Erhai Lake belongs to Cangshan Mountain, located in Dali City, Yunnan Province, south of China. "Cangshan Snow, Erhai Moon" are two beautiful scenery. The snow at the top of Cangshan Mountain is a crystal clear world of ice and snow.

If you think there is only snow in Cangshan, you are wrong. In midsummer, above the mountainside and below the mountaintop, there are lush green trees, which make people feel relaxed and happy at first sight. At the turn of summer and autumn, hundreds of miles of mountains are gently bound by white clouds. Seen from a distance, it looks like a charming jade belt. This is the famous "Jade Belt Cloud". In the eyes of the local people, it has a beautiful meaning that indicates a bumper harvest.

Erhai Lake was once called Ye Yuze in ancient articles. Because it belongs to the suburb of Dali, Yunnan, it looks like a crescent moon from a distance. It lies quietly between Cangshan Mountain and Dali Bazi, bright and pure. Erhai Lake is known as the second largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province, with a wide area and a height of about 10 meter. The water in Erhai Lake is clear and transparent, and the water quality is good. Because it is located in a fault, it has a superior geographical position and abundant aquatic products. Looking down from a height, this clear freshwater lake is very similar in appearance and ears, so it is named Erhai Lake.

In fact, in the language of the local minority Bai nationality, the original meaning of "er" is "Xia" and "Xia". Because in the vocabulary of local white language, Xiaxia, Xiaguan and Xiaxia are all pronounced as Er, which means the same thing as Erhai in Chinese, while Er is transliteration and Hai is free translation, so local white language says Erhai is the sea below.
