But there are tens of millions of temples in China, and there are always some special incense sticks, and there is always an "alien" who subverts your understanding of temples. There is such a strange temple in Baiyu Village, which is 0/.5h drive from Beijing/KLOC-0. Because of its magical style, it unexpectedly became popular on the Internet.
This temple is the White Waterfall Temple, the most magical temple in China.
The statues here show fangs and claws, and the Buddha statues are saturated in color and very exotic; Just looking at the pictures, I thought it was in Southeast Asia or the works of modern people. But in fact, this temple is 92 1 year old.
The most magical temple in China. I came here by car, just got off at the parking lot and was hit by a car temple? Scream with fear, attract attention. The huge statue of Guanyin on the horse's head stands on the roof, showing fangs, with three eyes wide open and eight arms raised together, which is awe-inspiring. Walking inside, you can see the Buddhist miracle "Lei Yun Brothers", where almost all the most popular photos on the Internet were taken.
This is actually the Lei Yun Pavilion. The golden boy is sitting on the pavilion, the dragon is hovering around, and the dragon's tail is wrapped around the post. The phoenix is wrapped around the dragon, with cool shape and shocking scale. Tourists seem to have crossed the world of ghosts and gods, and they can't tell whether it is a dream or reality.
The boy sitting in the middle is Sakyamuni Buddha, the Buddha statue is glittering, and the boy looks quiet and peaceful by pointing to the sky and the ground. (I have to say it's a little weird ~)
Five dragons circled around the boy, and the lake below was quiet. The dragon seems to have jumped out of the dragon palace in the water, which is both magical and realistic.
On both sides of the Lei Yun Pavilion, two phoenixes are also carved, which are colorful and gorgeous. The sculptor is exquisite and vivid, and every feather is full of details. If large statues flying like dragons and phoenixes are like magical reality, looking up at large Buddha statues makes people feel depressed and even afraid.
Hum, ha, the two generals look fierce, and the exaggerated facial features make people afraid. But in fact, they are the guardians of the temple of God, and their ferocious expressions are just to scare away the evil influence. By the way, do you know how to distinguish between hum and ha? Observe the photos carefully, and come to the message area to reply if you guess correctly! Watch your mouth at the hint. )
Through the wooden door on the east side of Lei Yun Pavilion, you can reach the Observatory. Two Bodhisattvas fly up the sandalwood pillar, with a 27-character Buddhist temple on the left and right, and a lotus pond release pond under the bridge. It seems that the Bodhisattva is welcoming you again, which makes people feel true and unreal.
Walk to the Dharma Hall, and you will come to another magical building-the huge statue of four Bodhisattvas in the Vajra Dharma Altar. Look carefully at the friends who are afraid of wheat! The whole statue was built on the roof, and the believers looked up and saw four bodhisattvas showing mercy to all beings. You will be shocked by its color and exaggerated shape.
On both sides of Guanyin Bodhisattva, there are Galand Bodhisattva and Wei Tuo Bodhisattva. The former holds the dragon crescent moon blade, while the latter puts the magic pestle across his chest. The other directions are Manjusri Bodhisattva, Tibetan Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.
If there are only strange statues in the Millennium Pagoda, Baipu Temple is not enough to become the most magical temple in China. What really adds magic and legend to Baipu Temple is the Millennium Pagoda here, the stupa of Master Jacky and the bumpy history of Baipu Temple.
The ancient pagoda was built in 1 146, and it is the only intact Millennium relic of Baipu Temple. Its tower shape is extremely special-the lower part is a dense eaves and the upper part is a bowl cover. It is a precious tower species in China, and it is also the masterpiece of dense eaves tower in Jin Dynasty. Master Jacky is the founder of Baipu Temple. After he died here, his relics were put into the tower. Later generations made a meditation statue here to commemorate him.
However, why only the ancient pagoda is the relic of the 92 1 year-old Baipu Temple, we have to talk about its tortuous experience. In ancient times, Baipu Temple was once at its peak, with as many monks as 100. The Hall of the Great Hero enshrines one of the only two Buddha statues in the country, the thousand buddhas around the Great Green Zena Buddha.
Baipu Temple was destroyed and rebuilt many times during the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Min Dynasties. Legend has it that in the Republic of China, a warlord valued this treasure trove of geomantic omen and wanted to move his ancestral grave here, so he led his troops to destroy Baipu Temple! There are no historical sites in the temple, only an ancient pagoda is left. Fortunately, Master Huineng came to Tianxian Temple and Baipu Temple. Master Huineng was born in Baiyu Village. At the end of last century, he made great efforts to lead many lay people and finally rebuilt Baipu Temple after suffering.
The newly-built Baipu Temple has made bold innovations in design. The large sculpture was moved out of the room. Moreover, the shape is exaggerated and strange, emphasizing visual impact. This makes Baipu Temple stand out among many temples and form a magical style. Believers are immersed in it and their hearts are as quiet as Zen.
You may think that such a magical Millennium temple only exists in a distant, mysterious and nameless place. Actually, it's in Beijing, which is only 1.5 hours' drive from downtown Beijing.
