Xuedi Conference-Activities

After Chen Sheng's death, Xiang Liang's army became the main force against Qin. In 208 BC, Xiang Liang convened a meeting of rebel leaders in Xue (now southeast of tengxian, Shandong Province) to discuss plans to break the Qin Dynasty. The meeting decided to take Xuyi as the capital, Xiang Liang as the capital and Chen Ying as the pillar country. After the Xue-Di meeting, Chu Huaiwang became the nominal leader of the anti-Qin army in various places, and the anti-Qin uprising entered a new stage.

Viet Nam, which is connected with the mountains and rivers of China, has been infiltrated by China culture for generations. Historically, it has been under the jurisdiction or protection of China courts for a long time. The first China man proclaimed himself emperor in Viet Nam was in the Qin and Han Dynasties. This man is the oldest emperor in the world-he is Zhao Tuo.

Zhao Tuo is a famous figure in Lingnan. He used to be a "pioneer" in Guangdong, Guangxi and Vietnam, and was also the first generation of "King of South Vietnam". Zhao Tuo belongs to the upright emperor of South Vietnam. Although out of courtesy, he had to symbolically conceal his emperor's name-"Emperor Wu of South Vietnam" from the Han Dynasty. He reigned for 7 1 year, and died in the fourth year of Emperor Jian Yuan-BC 137. His life span is indeed over 100 years old, and he is a veritable "longevity Weng".

Zhao Tuo's exact date of birth is difficult to verify, and only a rough estimate can be made according to historical records. But Zhao Tuo is a northerner to the core. His hometown is Hengshan, which is now Zhengding, Hebei. Zhao, a non-royal, military commander, got up bit by bit with brilliant exploits.

In 2 19 BC, Qin Shihuang sent Tu Youyou as the main commander and Zhao Tuo as the second lieutenant, leading 500,000 troops to pacify Lingnan. Tu Youyou was killed by local people for killing innocent people. Qin Shihuang also appointed Ren Tao as the main commander-in-chief, and fought and fought with Zhao Tuo for four years. In 2 14 BC, Lingnan was finally successfully incorporated into the territory of Daqin. Immediately, Guilin County, Nanhai County and Xiang Jun County were established one after another. Zhao Tuo was appointed as the magistrate of Longchuan County in Nanhai County, which is a strategic place. After Zhao Tuo took office, he adopted the national policy of "harmony without difference" and wrote to the court, demanding that 500,000 residents move from the Central Plains to South Vietnam to promote national integration. Second, it is conducive to rest.

In 208 BC, Nanhai County made Ren Tao seriously ill. Before he died, he specially called Zhao Tuo, the magistrate of Longchuan County, to the bed and urged him to do so. Nanhai county is surrounded by mountains and seas, and there are risks to be found. It's a treasure trove of feng shui. Nowadays, there are constant wars in the Central Plains, and complaints abound. If one day Daqin collapses, Nanhai County can still support itself. Before he died, Nanhai County Commandant issued a power of attorney to Zhao Tuo, appointing him as Nanhai County Commandant.

After Ren Tao's death, Zhao Tuo immediately assembled troops, annexed Guilin County and Xiangxiang County, placed a large number of cronies, and took control of the overall situation. At this time, his territory has covered most of today's China and Guangdong provinces, a part of Fujian, Hunan, Guizhou and Yunnan, and a vast area in northern Vietnam. Armed to the teeth and controlling its territory, Zhao Tuo claimed to be the "King of South Vietnam" as soon as the Qin Dynasty was over, with Panyu as its capital, which is today's Guangzhou. When Liu Bang ascended the throne, the two regimes seemed to be separated. By the death of Emperor Gaozu, all kinds of frictions and contradictions were completely open. South Vietnam was forbidden to buy ironware in the border market in the Han Dynasty. In a rage, Zhao Tuo hit the door and took several counties in one breath. Zhao Tuo was named "Emperor Wu of South Vietnam" from then on. He gave orders as an emperor, comparable to the emperor of the Han Dynasty.

Emperor Wen of Han acceded to the throne, adopted a policy of appeasement and took the initiative to repair the old friendship between South Vietnam. He also set up a tomb-guarding home for Zhao Tuo's parents' graves, held sacrifices on time every year, called cousins together, and rewarded officials and property. On the recommendation of Prime Minister Chen Ping, Emperor Wen appointed Lu Jia as a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, and went to South Vietnam as a special envoy, taking the opportunity to accuse Zhao Tuo of being emperor on his own and not sending a special envoy to report to Emperor Wu.

Lu Jia went to South Vietnam and told Zhao Tuo that he was interested. Zhao Tuo was persuaded to be a vassal of the Han Dynasty for a long time, and to abide by the obligation to pay tribute to the emperor of the Han Dynasty. He decided to remove the name of the emperor and return to the Han Dynasty, still known as the "King of South Vietnam".

Lu Jia returned to Beijing to report this matter, and Wendi was very happy. By the time of Emperor Jing of Han Dynasty, although Zhao Tuo appeared polite and obedient, he sent people to Chang 'an to appear before Emperor Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period, but he always used the title of emperor in Nanyue.

He Yue, the longest-lived emperor in the world, ruled the country well, and advanced Central Plains culture and production technology brought prosperity to South Vietnam, including Vietnam. Zhao Tuo has opened the door to ethnic integration, which is of far-reaching significance to the spread of China culture in Viet Nam. This is something that even modern Vietnamese feel the same way.

Vietnamese historian Li Songzan praised Zhao Tuo, representing the views of the overwhelming majority of Vietnamese. He said: "Emperor Wu of Zhao took advantage of the Qin rebellion and chose Panyu. He sided with Emperor Gaozu. He has the kindness to love the people and the wisdom to protect the country. Can Cong (Anyang Wang Shupan) was awed by his martial arts. His culture and education are like a county. He teaches the national style with poetry and books, strengthens people's hearts with benevolence and righteousness, teaches people to cultivate themselves, and enriches Qiang Bing ... The real hero is also a master. "

In BC 1 12, Zhao Jiande, the last monarch of South Vietnam, went to war with the Western Han Dynasty. 11year BC, which was finally destroyed by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. This regime across southern Xinjiang lasted for more than 90 years and died after five generations.
