Legend has it that Tian Xuan (Zhenwu Emperor) has been living in Wudang Mountain. On one occasion, he set out from the mountain and visited the famous mountains in China.
On this day, I came to Yun Qi Mountain, overlooking the whole mountain, with steep peaks, strange cliffs and clouds. On both sides of the Hengjiang River, ancient trees are lush, branches are coiled, and huts and cottages are dotted. "A fairyland on earth!" Xuan Di was overjoyed, so he put down the clouds and came to the mountain.
He swam to the Elysium, crossed the Peach Blossom Creek, and came to the Fairy Cave, only to find that Tianmen was covered and there was no way to pass. Emperor Xuan Di is eager to travel in the mountains. He is full of divine power. When he rode away, he heard a loud noise, and the stone pierced the hole, and he was suddenly enlightened. But outside Tianmen, surrounded by boulders, caves are secluded, pearl springs are flying, and Tianchi is beautiful. Emperor Xuan Di came in through the door. Looking back, it turned out that a stone elephant was in the way.
Emperor Xuandi played all the way, but when he reached Yuehua Street, the mountains became more and more beautiful. Yuping Peak stands in the middle, surrounded by Zhongfeng and Gu Feng. Five mountain springs stand upright in the valley, just like a censer made in the sky. There are 36 peaks of Huangshan Mountain in the distance.
Emperor Xuan Di was overjoyed when he saw such a treasure trove of geomantic omen. I thought I was punished in Wudang Mountain for more than two thousand years. Now that Tao has become a reality, why should I stay alone? Might as well build a palace here, hold incense, practice in Wudang every day, and show great power at night. It's just that a tripod on this mountain needs an idol to hold it, so that it can attract fragrance from all directions.
Emperor Xuan Di was meditating when he saw a piece of auspicious clouds floating in and turned into a fairy with a white crane, devoting himself to pay homage: "The immortal came to this mountain because the vegetation was auspicious, and Miaofo knew what the immortal was thinking and asked me to help." Say and issue imperial edicts. At that time, hundreds of birds gathered, their wings covered the sun, and they all held clay to make plastic. Soon, a statue of Xuan Di was erected.
Time flies, I don't know how many years have passed. During the period of Baoqing in the Southern Song Dynasty, a wandering Taoist spent the night at the foot of Yun Qi Mountain. Suddenly, he dreamed that a man of God was standing in front of him with his hair tied to his feet and said, "I live in Qiyunyan and have been waiting for a long time."
? When the Taoist woke up from his dream, he found a clay sculpture at the foot of Yun Qi Rock in Yuping Peak. He was surprised and happy, so he lived on the mountain and raised money to decorate the golden body. And founded the "Yousheng Zhenwu Temple", lit incense and offered it day and night.
Since then, the people in the four townships have come to pray for blessings, seek heirs, and be responsive. Yun Qi Mountain incense is flourishing day by day, and it has gradually become a holy place of Taoism.
