Strawberry family balcony planting method
Step 1: Material preparation
Required materials: seedlings, garden soil, peat, chicken manure, bean cake, container, gardening shovel, watering can.
A. Nursery stock: All strawberry varieties are suitable for potted plants, and the ideal household varieties are strawberry of four seasons, European Four Seasons Red, Baojiao Zaosheng, etc. Seedlings can be purchased in flower markets, strawberry bases, seedling stations and local vegetable and flower research institutions.
B. Soil: Strawberries are plants that love fertilizers. When preparing nutrient soil, apply sufficient organic fertilizer and use as little chemical fertilizer as possible. Nutrient soil should be mixed with fertile soil and peat soil in vegetable garden and chicken manure.
C containers: according to the size of the space, select cultivation containers and put them on the window sill and indoors. Strawberry root system is developed, and the depth of cultivation container should be about 20cm. Just choose a flowerpot with a diameter of 20cm, single plant. For a large number of plants, you can choose large long-strip pots and round pots, with one pot for many plants. Generally, ceramic pots are used for breeding, with good ventilation, easy drainage and many styles.
Step 2: Planting.
A, before planting, put nutrient soil in the pot, and the soil surface is only 3 ~ 4 cm away from the edge of the pot, then water it and let it stand for 2 days before planting.
B, before planting, select healthy seedlings with good root growth, cut off damaged roots, old leaves and stolons, and leave 2-3 leaflets. Dig a hole in the basin suitable for strawberry roots.
C, when planting, the strawberry root system is vertical, and it is planted in the hole, and then it is flattened with soil, and the planting depth is appropriate without burying the heart.
D, after planting, proper amount of water is poured, and plastic bags are put on the pots to reduce water evaporation and stabilize the temperature and humidity in the pots, which is beneficial to strawberry growth.
Step 3: Daily management
A. temperature management: the optimum temperature for strawberry plant growth is 15 ~ 30℃, the optimum temperature for root growth is 15 ~ 20℃, and the optimum temperature for flowering and fruiting period is 15 ~ 20℃.
B. Water management: water strawberries frequently after planting to keep the soil in the basin moist, neither too dry nor too wet. It is easy to neglect the management of air humidity in family planting. During strawberry growth, the air humidity should not be too high. Under the premise of suitable temperature, after watering, the window should be properly opened for ventilation and humidity reduction.
C. Fertilization management: Organic fertilizer water is mainly applied to potted strawberries, and decomposed bean cake water can be applied once every 7 days, and the concentration should not be too high.
D, pruning: in the cultivation process, the yellow old leaves need to be directly removed; Strawberry will appear creeping in the growth process, so it is necessary to remove the creeping plants in time during the flowering and fruiting period. The creeping plants will grow into small plants and can be directly planted by cutting.
Replace flowerpot
Strawberries will decline after two years of fruiting. Therefore, after two years of strawberry planting, new seedlings need to be replaced, or small pots need to be replaced with large pots for replanting. When changing pots, the pots should be reloaded with nutrient soil, and then seedlings should be planted and watered. Management as above.
Precautions:
First, water should be done in the morning or evening.
B, when flowering, the air humidity should not be too high, which will affect fruit setting and fruit quality.
C potted strawberries can be planted all year round, but the survival rate of transplanting in September-65438+10 is the highest.
D, move the basin indoors in winter in the north to raise the temperature; When the temperature is high in summer, move the basin to the shade to cool down.
