Where is Tangjiatun Ancient Residence located?

Tangjiatun belongs to the Renyi Village Committee of Guanyang Town, 1 kilometer away from the Renyi Village Committee and 5 kilometers away from Guanyang Town. The area under its jurisdiction is about 12,000 square meters. There are about 580 villagers and 175 households. Among them, there are about 400 permanent residents and about 180 migrant workers. The village has about 300 acres of cultivated land and about 3,600 acres of forest land. The main source of income in the village is migrant work and rice planting, with the per capita annual income being about 3,000 yuan.

Tangjiatun is located at the foot of Dupanling Mountain and has an excellent geographical location. The village is backed by Dupanling Mountains, covered by rivers, and surrounded by a jade belt (water system). It has mountains on its back and water on its back, with yin and yang behind it, and the natural environment is relatively superior. The ancient villages were formed before the Yuan Dynasty. Most of the buildings conformed to the mountains and were built on the mountains, creating a landscape that integrates nature and humanity. In the village, the mountains and plains each perform their own duties. The landform within the territory is mainly mountainous, with an area of ??about 3,600 acres of forest land and the rest is paddy fields. Overall, it is higher in the north and lower in the south. Surrounded by mountains, the village is built on the hillside, which belongs to the mountainous style. The buildings are built according to the mountains, which is well integrated with the landform features of hills and alluvial plains. The soil-forming parent material in the village is complex and diverse due to geological changes; among which limestone parent material, diluvial sediments, and alluvial sediment parent materials account for the vast majority. In addition, coupled with the influence of factors such as climate, topography, vegetation, and human actions, the distribution of the entire village There are many rice soils such as laterite parent material, alluvial parent material, sand shale parent material, dry land soil such as red soil and limestone soil, and red and yellow soil, limestone forestland barren mountain soil, and other soil types. The land is relatively flat and suitable for planting rice.

The land layout plan in the village is mainly agricultural production and residential land, and the layout is relatively regular. Land can be subdivided into: residential land, cultural relics and historic sites, road land, agricultural and forestry land, water bodies, and cemeteries.

The Tangjiatun Ancient Residence is backed by green mountains. In front of the village is a vast pastoral scene. The Guanjiang River flows around the front of the ancient village like a jade belt. In the village, thousand-year-old camphor and ancient ginkgo complement each other. The irrigation water and flowing water form the overall spatial layout of "mountains are like screens, water is like a city, and the pool is like a crescent embankment as a belt", giving people a harmonious, natural, and relaxed feeling. The ancient village is backed by Dupanling Ridge, with the Guanjiang River on its belly. The two sides of the Guanjiang River are banked with willow trees, shaped like a jade belt. There is a pond on the north side that is shaped like a crescent moon. There are four gate towers at the four corners of the ancient village, forming a landscape pattern. After careful planning and management by the ancestors, the ancient buildings have been neatly maintained, the lanes are smooth, and the river embankments, ancestral temples, and ancient wells are reasonably laid out, making it a spectacular sight.

The buildings are all made of masonry and wood, with granite at the bottom and bucket bricks at the top; bluestone floors are paved indoors. The lanes are neatly planned and the tunnels are smooth. The houses are arranged in rows and rows, and the heights are orderly. The interior is a wooden building with thick beams and columns, double beams and carved open windows, which provide strong lighting. The layout of the house is generally one or two entrances. The side rooms of the hall are tall and magnificent, taking advantage of the local situation and being reasonably distributed. The characteristics of the architectural structure of Ming Dynasty residences are that the outer walls are mostly five-pile gable walls, the main beams of the inner halls are arched, and the column bases are wooden piers. Birds are set up to support the offerings, the windows are carved and decorated, and the ancient servants are exquisite. Among them, the Tang Ancestral Hall is the most typical.

The couplet in front of the Tang Ancestral Hall - "The mountain is like a screen and the water is like a city, and the pool is like a crescent embankment." The fourteen large seal characters are shining brightly. It has a long meaning and quietly shows the world the splendor and glory of this family when it was created.
