The breeze will make people feel like they are in a dream. The famous Damaying Grassland, the largest pasture in the Far East-Shandan Army Horse Farm, is built here with flat terrain, rich aquatic plants and famous at home and abroad.
"The history of Qilian Mountain grassland seems so rough and even cruel, but the essence of Qilian Mountain is definitely warm and romantic. One of Qilian Mountains is the ancient Xiongnu language, which means "Mountain of Heaven". Up to now, Yaoao 'er, the direct descendant of the Huns who are nomadic here, still calls Qilian Mountain "Tengger Daban", which also means "Mountain of Heaven".
There is a grassland with the most abundant aquatic plants under Qilian Mountain, that is, Tara in summer (also called Huangchengtan, Huangchengtan and Dacaotan). It used to be the pasture of Attila, the pasture of Uighurs and the pasture of Mongolian king Kuo Duan Khan in Yuan Dynasty. In summer, Tara is a grassland with four distinct seasons and favorable weather. Liang Fen, a famous geographical work written by Qing Dynasty, said: "Its grass is unique beyond the Great Wall and only in the mainland." The author regarded this place as inland because nomads and farmers were fighting for this area at that time. The Tibetan epic Gesar says that this grassland is the "Golden Lotus Grassland". Both Yao 'ao 'er people and Mongols call it "Summer Tara", which means "Golden Ranch".
