Liangshan, the Qianling Mausoleum of Emperor Gaozong Li Zhi and Empress Wu Zetian is buried here, like a sleeping beauty. Qianling Mausoleum was once a scenic spot in the history of imperial mausoleums.
Liangshan is located in Qian County, Shaanxi Province and consists of three peaks. The north peak is the highest (1048 meters above sea level), and the two southern peaks are relatively low (about 930 meters above sea level). There is a depression about 1 kilometer long and 30 meters wide connecting the north and south peaks. Jiugu Mountain, Baijia Mountain, Jizidui Mountain, and Qingliang Mountain in the east of Liangshan are gently undulating; Dingjia Mountain, Shiniu Mountain, Heishan, Fangshan, and Jianshan are continuous in the west; Wushan, Yangyuling Mountain, and Waziganyuan Mountain and Qiu Mountain are scattered in the north. Valley Peak. It seems that all the stars like the moon, and these branches guard Liangshan. There is Jingshui River behind the mountain, Weihe River in front, leading to the smart desert valley stream to the west, and the winding Sishui River to the east.
Liangshan, surrounded by mountains and rivers, has the best chance, and this is an example of dragon weather. Therefore, it became a good place in the eyes of emperors, magicians and Buddhists.
In the pre-Qin period, Liangshan has entered people’s field of vision. "Mencius King Hui of Liang" records that the king went to Chen and crossed Liangshan. "Historical Records", "Wei Shu", "Guo Dizhi", and "Fang Yu's Reading Historical Records" all record the fact that people of the Zhou Dynasty marched eastward and passed through Liangshan. According to some scholars' research, the "Zhi in Chen" in the "Book of Songs" refers to the fact that in order to choose the location of the capital, Gong Liu once climbed Liangshan to inspect the terrain of the Weibei Plain ("Chen" refers to the fact that Liangshan is separated from other high mountains) , and then established Zhouyuan as the capital.
After the establishment of the Qin State, Qin Shihuang built a large number of buildings. When building the Palace of the Six Kingdoms, he was deeply attracted by the shape of Liangshan and ordered the construction of Liangshan Palace near Liangshan. According to historical records of Qin Shi Huang, in 212 BC, Qin Shi Huang secretly came to Liangshan Palace in order to seek longevity. Unexpectedly, Premier Li Si also came. At the foot of the mountain, Qin Shihuang was very unhappy when he saw the large chariot and horse guards at the foot of the mountain. Who revealed the secret of his travels? Qin Shihuang began to investigate, but no one acknowledged it. Qin Shihuang was angry and executed his followers at the time. After that, Liangshan Palace became famous and became Qin Palace.
Until the end of the Western Dynasty, the Liangshan government still used the palace. In the early Tang Dynasty, Liangshan had rich vegetation and beautiful environment. Li Yuan and Li Shimin often went north to Chang'an for hunting and recreation. In midsummer, Li Shimin and Li Zhi took their families to the Jiucheng Palace in Linyi, Shaanxi Province. At this time, Liangshan was still the only way to go.
According to the rules of the Tang Dynasty, we infer that when Li Zhi went to the Nine City Palace, he must have been accompanied by Wu Zetian. The mystery and shape of Liangshan attracted Wu Zetian's attention for a long time. After Gaozong died in December 683, Wu Zetian did not hesitate to choose Liangshan as her scenic spot in accordance with her will.
The smoke and clouds of the Gaowu era have dissipated more than 1,300 years ago, but the conjecture and suspense left by the two emperors still permeate the Qianling Mausoleum.
If you look northwest from the Yinwu Expressway (National Highway 312) in Qian County, Shaanxi Province, Qianling Mausoleum looks like a beautiful woman lying on her back in the distance, looking peaceful and peaceful. To the north, the main peak of Liangshan Mountain stands tall and majestic. The slope on the north side of the main peak gradually becomes gentler and gentler, like a flowing hair. In the south, the two east-west symmetrical peaks are round and plump, like a pair of plump breasts. The tower on Rufeng is simple and solemn, dotted with a circle of deep. The Guanzhong Plain south of Rufeng is flat and has a slender and well-proportioned shape.
Under the clear sky, the breeze blew the green trees on Liangshan Mountain, and the shadows of the branches were rotating. The whole mountain seemed to be swaying in the shining golden light. I really doubt that this beauty breathes a gentle, elegant, rhythmic breath while sleeping.
Climbing to the main peak of Liangshan Mountain to inspect, the shallow mountains connecting the four fields make the ridgeline flutter. The vitality of spring, the green fields of midsummer, the fragrant chrysanthemums of autumn and the vastness of winter are probably different pictures unfolding in Liangshan to show the charm of a beauty.
Looking down at the three peaks at your feet, some are exposed rocks, some are covered with loess, the dense green cypresses and the solemn elegance of the towers always arouse your imagination. A historical beauty finally rests in the beautiful Liangshan Mountains.
In Qianling, people not only lamented the harmony and unity of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, but also of heaven, earth and man.
Nature's creations and gifts are sometimes more magical than we desire.
