At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, there was a man named Tao. After Sun Shan failed in the Jinshi exam, he did not lose heart, but moved from the city to the countryside to continue studying hard. Every day, when he works in the field, he always carries a pen and ink with him. Between plowing and hoeing, he took out books to buy and read. Unable to find paper in the fields of the mountain village, he picked several large leaves from the tree and recorded his reading experience and observation of life on them. After returning home, he put these leaves in a crock. When the crock was full of leaves, he buried it under a big tree. Unconsciously, more than ten years have passed, and Tao has buried more than ten cylinders under the big tree. Some people don't understand his practice. Tao Zongyi said with a smile: "That's how learning should go on!" Later, Tao Zongyi sorted out all the leaves in these jars and compiled a book called "The Record of Dropping Out of Farming in Nancun", which was very popular.
"Perseverance" means long-term persistence. Now it's generally longer than doing one thing, and it's done.
