The Mausoleum of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty, now a provincial-level cultural protection unit, is located in Huai'er Village, Huaisi Town, Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City. Emperor Yang Guang of Sui Dynasty (569-618 AD) reigned for fourteen years. He was first buried in Liuzhu Hall of Jiangdu Palace, and later buried under Wu Gong's platform. After Tang Dynasty pacified Jiangnan, he was buried at the current location of Leitang with imperial rites. In the twelfth year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1807), scholar Ruan Yuan erected a stele and stone for it, and Yi Bingshou, the prefect of Yangzhou, officially wrote "Mausoleum of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty". In April 2013, two ancient tombs were discovered during the construction of a real estate project in Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City. The epitaph of one of them showed that the owner of the tomb was Yang Guang, Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty.

On November 16, 2013, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the Chinese Archaeological Society organized a demonstration meeting on the archaeological excavation results of the Sui and Tang Dynasty tombs in Caozhuang, Yangzhou. More than ten authoritative experts in the Chinese archaeological field, including Huang Jinglue, Xu Guangyi, and Wang Wei, attended the meeting. People attended the demonstration meeting, and experts unanimously determined that the Sui and Tang tombs in Caozhuang, Yangzhou were the tombs of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty, and were the final burial places of Emperor Yang Guang and Empress Xiao of the Sui Dynasty. At the same time, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage officially announced that the tomb is located in Hanjiang District, Yangzhou The tombs of the Sui and Tang Dynasties in Xihu Town are the joint tombs of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty and Queen Xiao. There is also a "Mausoleum of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty" in Shaanxi.
