This is the record on the family tombstone.

Translation;: To trace the origins of our ancestors, we must find the roots. Shudian cannot forget the beginning. In memory of our Shen family, we arose from the Wu region and have lived in Chongyi County, Nan'an Prefecture, Jiangxi for generations, in a place called Raohudong. Father Shen Guangrui and mother Shen Zhang moved their family to a place called Xiaojiagou outside Beiguan, Zhongjiang County, Tongchuan Prefecture, Sichuan in the Xinchou year of Kangxi, where they established a business and settled down. My parents gave birth to five of us brothers.

My father passed away on February 18, the thirty-first year of Qianlong's reign. On August 12, the thirty-third year of Qianlong's reign, I divined an auspicious place at South Road, Santai County, Tongchuan Prefecture. The place name is Jiajiaba (where my father is buried). The direction of my father's grave is Dingshan Guixiang (Note 1). When my mother passed away, the auspicious place for divination was within the local territory, and the direction of her grave was Koyama Otomu (Note 2). This is the whole story (the origins of the Shen family and the burial of his parents). Now it is engraved on a stele and recorded so that future generations can know it for thousands of years.

Note 1: Dingshan Guixiang, the ancient Feng Shui term for funerals, the tomb is south to west, facing northeast.

Note 2: The direction of Xingshan B is west to north to southeast.

(The inscription seems to indicate the time when the stone was carved and the monument was erected. Did you not copy it?)
