According to legend, a long time ago, Shige Mountain was rising every day and changing every year. People find it strange and call it an active mountain. At the end of Qin Dynasty and the beginning of Han Dynasty, a southerner passed through Shige Mountain. Because of the hot weather, he rested under the cliff, took off his straw hat and put it on the stone above his head, and fell asleep soundly. After waking up, he went to get his hat, but he couldn't reach it. He was shocked and thought that if the mountain could rise, there must be treasure. So I went down the mountain and asked the masons to get the treasure. However, the day and night are flat, and there is no progress at all. So he let the masons dig day and night, and finally found a dog's head in a three-foot underground, shining and taking it away. Since then, this stone mountain that grows every day has never grown taller, and its name has always been hated. There is only one stone well left on the top of the mountain. At that time, southerners were insatiable and were still looking for treasure. As a result, they found a beeswax hole on the mountainside. He thought the mountain was a treasure trove of geomantic omen, so he buried the cornucopia from other places in the ditch under the mountainside and planted a cypress tree next to it as a symbol. A few years later, when he came to get the treasure again, he saw that the cypress trees were so lush that there was no place to bury the pots. Later generations called this ditch Baiqu. This legend adds to the mystery of Shige Mountain. Since then, Shige Mountain has been renamed Goutou Mountain, which has been passed down to this day.
For thousands of years, the temples in Shige Mountain are resplendent and magnificent, and incense is flourishing, and pilgrims from Qin Jin come in an endless stream. Ask God to worship Buddha. With the passage of time and the changes of the times, the temples on the mountain have experienced ups and downs and have been expanded and rebuilt many times. By the end of the Qing dynasty, more than 20 temples had been built on the mountains and the top of the mountain. Later, due to the proliferation of bandits and thieves, people around us constantly raised and strengthened the village wall on the mountain, making this mountain a refuge for one side. 1947 After the Kuomintang troops retreated from this mountain, guerrillas and local people in Chifeng area destroyed all the buildings on the mountain. In addition, over the years, wars and natural disasters have continued, and seven or eight people have died of banditry, hunger or epidemics. The fragrance of the mountain gradually faded, and Brother Shi's reputation was forgotten by the local people. In recent years, with the healthy development of various undertakings in our county, cultural tourism resources have begun to be valued, and cultural lovers represented by Gu Qingfeng have begun to collect and sort out the historical materials of Shige Mountain, so that more people can understand the history and features of Shige Mountain, which is now Goutou Mountain. Because the records are ominous and difficult to collect, the contents collected now are largely incomplete, mostly in the Qing Dynasty, but some records are enough to glimpse Shi Ting.
