Why was Zhao Qianling's tomb built outside the Feng Shui wall?

Emperor Kangxi killed two birds with one stone, which made sourdrang queen temporarily stable for nearly 40 years. 1725, the issue of the burial place of Empress Xiaozhuang Wen was put on the agenda. Yongzheng thought that it was not a long-term solution to park Xiao Zhuang's coffin in the temporary security department, and the location of the temporary security department was Shangji Jiarang, which could be converted into a mausoleum. The project started at the beginning of 1726 and was completed in February 10. The coffin of Xiaozhuang Wen was officially buried in the underground palace on February 10.

Because the tomb of Huang Taiji is called Zhaoling, which is located in the northeast of Shengjing, and the tomb of Xiao Zhuang was built in Zunhua, Hebei Province, which is located in the west of Zhaoling. According to the naming method of tombs in Qing Dynasty, the tomb of Xiao Zhuang was named Zhaoqianling, which shows that Zhaoqianling and Zhaoling are the same system. Since then, there has been Zhao Qianling outside the Feng Shui wall of the Qing Dongling.

This fully shows that Zhao Qianling and Qing Dongling are two different systems, so they are buried outside Dongling to show the difference.

Experts believe that it is reasonable for Zhao Qianling to be built outside the Feng Shui Wall, because the emperor shunzhi has occupied the supreme position in the Feng Shui Wall, and Xiao Zhuang, as a mother, will be inferior to her son no matter where she is buried, so it is more appropriate to build outside the Feng Shui Wall.
