Responsibilities of Shanwei Medical Insurance Bureau: Organize the formulation and implementation of measures for the supervision and management of medical insurance funds, establish and improve the safety prevention and control mechanism of medical insurance funds, and promote the reform of payment methods of medical insurance funds. Formulate the agreement and payment management measures for designated medical institutions and organize their implementation.
Organize the formulation of medical security financing and treatment policies, improve the dynamic adjustment and regional adjustment and balance mechanism, coordinate urban and rural medical security treatment standards, and establish and improve the treatment adjustment mechanism that is suitable for the financing level. Organize the formulation and implementation of long-term care insurance system reform plan. Formulate bidding and purchasing policies for drugs and medical consumables and supervise their implementation, and guide the construction of bidding and purchasing platforms for drugs and medical consumables.

People's Republic of China (PRC) National Health Insurance Bureau is an institution directly under the State Council, with a deputy ministerial level, which was established on March 20 18. Its main functions are to formulate policies, plans and standards for medical insurance, maternity insurance, medical assistance and other medical security systems and organize their implementation, supervise and manage relevant medical security funds, improve the national platform for medical treatment management and expense settlement in different places, organize the formulation and adjustment of prices and charging standards for drugs and medical services, formulate bidding and purchasing policies for drugs and medical consumables and supervise their implementation.
