Yongding Tulou is located in Yongding County, Longyan City, Fujian Province on the southeast coast of China. It is a unique and magical mountain residential building in the world, and a wonderful work of ancient architecture in China. In July 2008, Fujian Tulou, with Yongding Hakka Tulou as the main body, was listed in the World Cultural Heritage List. On July 6, 2008, at the 32nd World Heritage Conference held in Quebec City, Canada, Fujian Tulou was officially listed in the World Heritage List.
It is a magical residential building in mountainous areas. Yongding earth building has a long history, unique style, large scale, exquisite structure and various types. It is divided into two systems: square building and circular building. There are 360 famous circular buildings and more than 4,000 square buildings, which can be called a China Hakka Tulou Museum without a gate.

The architectural technology and style of Yongding Hakka earth building originated from the ancient central plains residential buildings.
The way of cohabitation reflects the traditional ethical concept of clan blood. Inside and outside the building, couplets and inscriptions with the themes of farming, reading, family heirlooms, loyalty, filial piety and benevolence reflect the Hakka people's inheritance of Confucian culture. The elementary school attached to Tulou is the most powerful historical witness of Hakka's worship of literature and education.
