The calculation method of Spring Club Day is the second May Day before Tomb-Sweeping Day (Wuzi, Wuyin, Chen Wu, Wuwu, Wushen and Wuxu are all called May Day, also known as "Liu Wu"). Therefore, the Spring Festival is usually the first ten days in Tomb-Sweeping Day. Autumn society day is a day to worship the land god in autumn. It started in the Han Dynasty, and later generations were in the fifth day after beginning of autumn.
Tomb-Sweeping Day, also known as "sweeping the grave", means "respecting the thinking time of ancestors". Its customs have a long history. In some places, Qingming is called "sweeping mountains" or "offering sacrifices to mountains", while in some southern areas, it is called "hanging mountains or hanging paper" because of the respect for ancestors or the rhetorical habit of "eliminating disasters and seeking beauty".
For example, sweeping graves in Tomb-Sweeping Day is called going to the grave in the north. In order to avoid the words "tomb" and "tomb", the southern coastal areas euphemistically call it "mountain worship", and it is more quaint to call grave sweeping "mountain worship". One of the ancient meanings of the word "mountain" is "tomb". Now, feng shui masters also refer to the sitting posture of the cemetery as "the direction of the mountain".
