Kezanji Temple, located outside the north gate of Leizhou, a famous historical and cultural city in China, covers an area of more than 30 mu with a building area of 6,056.7 square meters. Founded in the late Song Dynasty, it was rebuilt in the Shenjia period of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (1644). During the Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty, the temple was moved to the mountainside according to the five-hall structure, covering an area of more than 200 square meters and renamed Huayan Temple.
