Due to its special status, we often have a tacit understanding of Babaoshan, but we often overlook one fact: Babaoshan is really a "treasure mountain". During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, Pingjiang Bo Chen Xuan gathered the people and built a mountain of earth with artificial power. It was erected at the mouth of the Yangtze River as a navigation mark. Later, Emperor Yongle, the founder of the Ming Dynasty, personally inscribed the inscription "Imperial Baoshan Stele". Only then did "Baoshan" come into being. As for the mountains of Babao Mountain, they are real mountains, belonging to the Xishan Mountains. Especially on this mountain, there are really "Eight Treasures".
Why is Babaoshan called "Babaoshan"? One theory is that before it became a revolutionary cemetery, Babaoshan was a resource-based mine. It is rich in horse tooth stone, chalk, lime, red soil, crucible, yellow pulp, and board. 8 types of clay minerals including rock and sandstone.
It is called "Babao" because of its mineral deposits. This is just one of the theories. Another theory is that it is said that a long time ago, Babao Mountain was called "Black Mountain". In the end, God dropped eight treasures, namely, a golden cow, a golden horse, a golden rooster, a golden roller, a golden mill, a golden bean, a golden dustpan and a golden basket. These eight shining golden treasures are hidden at the foot of the mountain. As long as you find one of them, you can ascend in the daytime and become an immortal.
