The East China Sea crystal ranks first in the world. The reserves of crystal stone in the East China Sea are about 300,000 tons, ranking first in the country in terms of quality and reserves. In 2003, Donghai County was named "Crystal Capital of China" by China Arts and Crafts Association. Donghai Crystal City is "China Crystal Crafts City", with an annual turnover of more than 3 billion yuan, of which import and export account for more than 30%. In 2007, "Donghai Crystal" successfully implemented the protection of national geographical indication products. Driven by crystals, more than 200,000 people in the county are engaged in the crystal industry, with an annual output value of 654.38 billion yuan, becoming an important pillar of the East China Sea economy and an important crystal distribution center in the world.
