Nancun Town faces Tianhe District and Haizhu District of Guangzhou across the river, with stonebridge 10 km to the south, with a town area of 47 square kilometers, hilly terrace area of 75.9%, delta alluvial plain of 2 1.7% and water surface of 2.4%. Dazhengang, at an altitude of 146 meters, is the highest point in the town.
Li Jiao Waterway flows through the north of the town. Located in the south of the Tropic of Cancer, it has a subtropical monsoon climate with long summer and warm winter, long frost-free period and abundant rainfall. Paddy soil is mainly fertile and latent, with soil organic matter content of 2-4%.
The agricultural structure of Nancun Town has been further adjusted, the scale of planting and breeding has been increasing, the characteristic planting and breeding has developed rapidly, the agricultural economic benefits have been continuously improved, and farmers' income has increased. The total planting area of fruit trees, vegetables, aquatic products and flowers in the town is 6 149 mu.
Nancun Town will speed up the construction of sewage treatment plant, the construction of Qixinggang Recreation Center, the maintenance and management of plantation and health facilities in Qixinggang Park, the dredging and cleaning of underground drainage system in the town, the construction of the Chamber of Commerce Building, the expansion of Nancun Middle School, the construction of adult schools, the Kengtou Branch of Nancun Hospital, the construction of Yuangang Branch, the installation of street lamps on Meijiang Road, and the construction of supporting facilities of the cultural center.
Nancun Town actively carried out mass cultural activities, and organized the "Dragon and Lion Parade to celebrate the Spring Festival", the 2006 Spring Festival literary evening, the Spring Festival calligraphy and painting exhibition, the National Day karaoke competition, the National Day lion dance evening, the private folk art evening and other cultural activities.
The floating colors in official posts reappear brilliantly, and the third editions of White Crane Dancing Xiao, Xue Dingshan Shooting Wild Goose and Guanyin Crossing a Clam participated in the 8th China Folk Art Mountain Flower Award and the 1st National Folk Floating Color Art Exhibition, and won finalists. Liang of Yuangang Village was awarded the title of "Excellent Rural Folk Artist in Guangzhou" for his skills in making lead and floating colors.
