First, divide plants to propagate.
Peacock tail flower, also called peacock arrowroot, is mainly propagated by ramets, which can be carried out in summer. During the early summer, the ambient temperature should be stabilized at about 20 degrees. After the peacock tail flower is taken out of the flowerpot, it is separated along the rhizome. Ensure the integrity of the root system, each plant has 2 ~ 3 buds, which can be transplanted into the pot soil.
After the flowerpot is put away, the peacock tail flower can be placed in a cool and ventilated place indoors, and the soil needs to be kept moist during maintenance. In about 5 ~ 7 days, the peacock tail flower can be placed in a bright place indoors, which is beneficial to the growth of the peacock tail flower. After adapting to the new soil in the later stage, the root system of peacock tail flower can be given enough light, water and fertilizer.
Second, cutting propagation.
Peacock tail flower can also be propagated by cutting, which is generally suitable for summer. Select the tender branches on the peacock tail flower, trim the redundant leaves on the branches, and leave 2 ~ 3 leaves at the top. Soak the branches in rooting water 10 ~ 20 minutes, take them out after soaking, and dry them in a cool and ventilated place indoors. After drying, they can be cut.
Choose loose and breathable culture soil as the substrate of peacock tail flower, and the soil needs to be disinfected in advance. After the wound of peacock tail flower branch is healed, it can be cut in loose and breathable matrix. Proper watering is needed after cutting to keep the soil moist. It usually takes about 25 to 30 days for the peacock tail flower to grow roots and give it enough water and fertilizer.
