Zhu's geomantic book

Zhu was a famous Neo-Confucianist in Southern Song Dynasty. He is a master of Confucianism and the only one who is not a disciple of Confucius but likes to worship Confucius Temple. Zhu is a disciple and student of Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi, so Zhu and Cheng Yi are called Neo-Confucianism. Zhu's thoughts had a great influence on Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. However, Zhu's ideas of upholding justice, eliminating people's desires and starving to death later ignored people's basic right to exist. Therefore, his thoughts and Confucius' thoughts on benevolent governance have begun to run counter to each other, so people say that Zhu is the most shameless hypocrite.

First, Zhu believes that human rights are not respected. You know, man is the basic unit of society, but Zhu put forward the idea of protecting nature and eliminating people's desires. This may have certain positive significance in modern society. After all, the harmony between man and nature should really be justified, and human desires should be destroyed. We can't destroy the environment because of people's selfishness. This development will not last. But in the era of Zhu's life, advocating such ideas will only enhance the desire of the strong.

Second, Zhu's theory violates the original intention of Confucius to establish Confucianism. Although Zhu wanted to promote Confucianism, he later ran counter to cybernetics. Accusation advocates benevolent governance, the purpose of which is to safeguard people's right to exist. However, Zhu later suggested that starvation is a small matter and dishonor is a big one. This kind of thinking will make people indifferent to life and death, thus depriving a person of the most basic right to exist. Therefore, Zhu is a hypocrite in this respect.

Third, Zhu is not filial to his parents and has an affair with a widow, which is immoral. Confucius advocated benevolent governance and filial piety. Although Zhu inherited Confucius' thought in name, in fact, Zhu was not a filial person. His unfaithfulness to widows was immoral and seriously violated Confucius' thought. But on the surface, Zhu has always advocated Confucius thought, so in this respect, Zhu is also a hypocrite.
