Evolution of Ma Manor Architecture

Ma Shi Manor is the former residence of Ma Hanqing, a gentry in the Republic of China. It was built in the Republic of China 18 (1929) and completed in the Mid-Autumn Festival of 19.

On February 4th, 2006, 65438 was announced as "Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit in Linhai City".

Ma Shi Manor is a typical combination of Chinese and western architecture in the Republic of China. The whole manor was originally large in scale, surrounded by Huzhuang River and connected by a western-style cement flower bridge. The main building is a three-row main building. The facade, platform doors, window sills and columns are all western-style and zigzag. The roof is towering, decorated with blue bricks and black tiles, and the momentum is magnificent, especially the gray plastic of lintels and gables is exquisite and conspicuous.

Majia Courtyard is one of the typical representative buildings of the Republic of China near the sea, covering an area of more than 4 mu. The high-walled compound is magnificent, with a clearing outside the platform door, a tall platform door in front, a masonry structure, and a small bridge with cement and steel bars outside, which was rare in those years. The most amazing thing about Majia Courtyard is that the whole courtyard is in the shape of "Pin", with twelve walls, three courtyards, three small gardens and a lake in the southwest.
