Where is the Guanyin Bridge in Lushan Mountain?

Lushan Guanyin Bridge is a national key cultural relic protection unit.

Guanyin Bridge is located in Xingzi County at the southeastern foothills of Lushan Mountain. From Bailudong, follow the Jiuxing Highway southward, pass through Wuli Commune, then turn northwest for a few kilometers, and you will see a stone bridge across it. High cliff, this is the famous thousand-year-old bridge - Guanyin Bridge.

Guanyin Bridge, also known as Qixian Bridge or Three Gorges Bridge, was built in the early Northern Song Dynasty and has a history of nearly a thousand years. It is a stone single-hole bridge, 24.4 meters long and 4 meters wide. The bridge deck is paved with large stones and stone railings are built on both sides. The inner circle of the bridge hole is composed of seven rows of rectangular stones connected end to end, with concave and convex tenons, and gradually curved into an arch shape. On the stone in the middle of the bridge hole are engraved the names of the skilled craftsmen who built the bridge that day: "Jiangzhou Craftsman Chen Zhifu, Di Zhiwang, and Zhihong".

Guanyin Bridge is known as "a pearl in southern China's bridge architecture". For thousands of years, despite the rushing and collision of the Three Gorges streams under the bridge, "the Milky Way poured down and thousands of thunders stung", the bridge body has remained intact. It was safe and sound, and it has still stood firm under the weight of the car. It’s no wonder that when tourists admire the ancient bridge and recall the time when the Chen brothers built the giant bridge in the air with their laboring hands, they all applaud and praise it: “It’s so ingenious that God works and ghosts work.”

Beside the Guanyin Bridge, there are lush green trees and picturesque scenery. At the south end of the bridge, there is a small stone pavilion beside the mountain. There is a clear spring in the pavilion, which is commonly known as "Zhaoyin Spring". It is the "Sixth Spring in the World" inscribed by Lu Yu, the tea god of the Tang Dynasty. There are stone steps at the other end to reach the bottom of the bridge with the inscription " On top of the huge stone with the word "Golden Well", there is a ravine hundreds of feet deep under the stone, with rapids flowing through the stone, and angry waves splashing, which is breathtaking. Poet Wang Shipeng of the Song Dynasty roamed around the Guanyin Bridge and was struck by the scenery. He eulogized with emotion and wrote: "Wandering by the Three Gorges Bridge with walking sticks, I suspect that I have arrived in Kuizhou. I want to write a poem to compare with the real Three Gorges, but I feel ashamed that the origin of the word cannot be traced back."

To the east of the Guanyin Bridge Scenic Area is the Wulao Peak, the most amazing peak in Mount Lu, to the west is the Hanyang Peak, the main peak of Mount Lu, to the north is the magical Taiyi Peak, and to the south is the vast Poyang Lake. The entire scenic spot is hidden in the primitive jungle.

The Guanyin Bridge Scenic Area is also a holy place for Buddhism. To the west of the bridge is the Cihang Temple dedicated to worshiping Guanyin Bodhisattva. To the north of the bridge is the Qixian Temple, a thousand-year-old temple. It is one of the five jungles of Lushan Buddhism.
