Liuzhou Fire Fighting "Wanghuo Building" is located at North Station Road 1 and built at 1956. It is a six-story square tower building with a mixed structure of brick and wood. The original height is 36 meters, and the skirt buildings on both sides are about 50 meters long, covering an area of about 860 square meters. In Liuzhou, which was dominated by bungalows and two floors at that time, the top watchtower was the highest point of the city, from which the whole city could be overlooked. Fire officers and soldiers were on duty 24 hours a day in the tower, so they could know the fire in time and played an irreplaceable role in the fire fighting work at that time.
1982, the main building of Wanghuo Building is raised by two floors, reaching 42 meters. Since then, with the development of urban construction in Liuzhou, high-rise buildings have sprung up like mushrooms after rain, and the "watchtower" no longer has a high advantage, and the watchtower has lost its function of observing the fire, so the "fire notification" function of the watchtower has become history.
In a blink of an eye, Wanghuo Tower has stood for 59 years, which is in sharp contrast with Liuzhou Wang Di International Wealth Center, which is 303 meters high. 20 14 Liuzhou Fire Building was established as the second batch of historic buildings in Liuzhou.
2. Building 8 of Liuzhou Hotel, the tallest building in Liuzhou.
Located at Youyi Road 1, near Liujiang, it is a garden-style foreign-related tourist hotel. The original site of the hotel is the villa of Huang Mengnian, a general of the New Guangxi Department in the Republic of China. There was only one building and several orchards. After liberation, it was taken over by the people's government. 1952 was converted into Gao Qian Hotel, and 1957 was renamed.
When the main building No.8 with 1980 floor was completed, it became the tallest building in Liuzhou at that time, with a height of 46 meters above the ground and a construction area of 16780 square meters. At that time, the total cost was only 3.5 million yuan. The main structure is reinforced concrete frame and frame-supported shear wall. In the construction, large formwork and slip form were used, cement shavings were used for the external wall, and laminated slabs were used for the floor, which was the first new technology adopted in Liuzhou at that time.

Liuzhou Hotel, the main building, has 30 floors above ground and 2 floors underground. Among them, 30 floors are revolving restaurants with a diameter of 26 meters. You can go around the city once an hour and have a panoramic view of the Dragon City.
At that time, the Industry and Trade Building was a comprehensive commercial enterprise with the largest scale, the most complete goods, the highest sales and the best facilities in our city, and it was also one of the 100 large shopping malls in China. Today, Liuzhou Industry and Trade Building is still one of the most upscale shopping centers in Liuzhou.
4. The bell in Liuzhou people's memory on the bell tower
The bell tower is located on the west side of Liujiang Bridge at Zhongshan Middle Road, with a construction area of 5,470 square meters. Commencement on June 4th 1985, completion on June 20th 1987. The building has 14 floors and is 50 meters high. There is a bell tower with a height of 12 meters on the roof, and a 5-ton giant clock made by the original watch factory is installed. It stands upright in the downtown area and reminds people in Longcheng of the time 24 hours a day with its loud bell.

The clock tower's function of telling time is gradually disappearing. With the increase of surrounding high-rise residential buildings, the bell tower not only has no high advantage, but also becomes a "criticism" because it disturbs the people. The bell tower is slowly disappearing from people's sight, and its bell will also become a historical memory.
5. Pingshan office building Liuzhou's first high-rise rental office building
Pingshan office building is located on the north side of Maanshan Park on Pingshan Avenue, which is the first high-rise rental office building in our city.
