Yongding River originates from Guancen Mountain in ningwu county. The whole river passes through Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin, joins Haihe River in Tianjin and flows into Bohai Sea in Tanggu. It is the largest river in the north of Haihe River system, with a drainage area of 470 16 square kilometers.
