In the first year of Tang Yuanhe (AD 806), Jimi Linzhou was set in the south of Naxi County, and the ancient forest belonged to Jimi Linzhou.
In the third year of Song Gande (AD 965), Gu Lin belonged to Luzhou, Tongchuan County.
In Yuan Dynasty, Gu Lin belonged to Yongning Road, Sichuan, and later to Fu Xuan Department, Yongning, Sichuan.
In Ming Dynasty, Gu Lin successively belonged to Yongning Litigation Department, Yongning appeasement Department, Yongning Department, Sichuan Department and Xuyong Army Grain Depot Xuzhou House. In the fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1377), Yongle Wei was established, and in the twenty-third year, Baisha (now Baisha) was established, and Weili was transferred to Guizhou.

In the fifth year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1727), Cai Xuyong's military commissary was incorporated into Yongning County, and Gu Lin belonged to Yongning County. In the 9th year of Yongzheng (173 1), Gu Lin Inspection Department was located in Liyong Hall of Gu Lin House, and Chishui County was located in Chishui River, which was placed under Yongning County.
In the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu (1908), on the 25th day of the first month (February 26th), Yongning County moved from Xuyong East to Gulin Forest Farm. In Xuantongyuan year (1909), Yongning County was renamed as Gu Lin, which belonged to Yongning Zhili Prefecture.
On the seventh day of October in the third year of Qing Dynasty (191165438+1October 27th), Comrade Gu Lin held a mass meeting in the county town, declared independence, and established a military government in Gulin County, with Li Xiaoqing as governor. On February 6th, 65438 of the same year, the Shu military government sent Ma et al. 13 people to inspect the forest. The next day, Li Xiaoqing sent troops to kill 12 Ma Jihe and his party and 10 comrades. On 2 1 day of the same month, important members of the League were killed, which is known in history as "flattering to kill the week".
In the second year of the Republic of China (19 13), Gu Lin was attached to South Sichuan Road.
In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), Gu Lin was subordinate to the Sichuan provincial government, and in the same year, Yongning Zhili government was abolished. Gulin County belongs to Yongning Road, Sichuan Province. Change the military government to the county government.
In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), Gu Lin was the seventh administrative supervision area of Sichuan province.
1949 12 10, Gulin County was liberated, and it was under the Lu Xian County Commissioner's Office of South Sichuan Administrative Region.
In the early days of liberation, in order to adapt to the land reform and narrow the scope of division, Gulin County was transferred from 65438 to Sichuan Longchang Commissioner's Office 0952.
1953, Gulin county had 16 districts, 6 towns and 162 townships. After several adjustments, 1958 was changed to a people's commune.
1960, Gu Lin was assigned to Luzhou area, and Gulin County and Luzhou area merged into Yibin area.
1984, the people's commune was changed to a township, and Gulin county governed 10 districts, 1 town directly under the central government, with 72 townships.
1985, the provincial capital city of Luzhou was established, and Gulin County was subordinate to Luzhou City.
1987, with the approval of the provincial government, Fu Tao, Erlang and Xinhua, three townships belonging to Dacun District, merged to form Erlang Town, and four townships (Jianshe, Wulong, Dazhai and Ma Si) were restructured into Miao townships.
1992, Gulin county was established as 12 town and 17 township (including 4 Miao townships).
1997, Gulin county covers an area of 3 18 1 km2, with a population of 708,000. It governs 12 towns, 17 townships (including 4 ethnic townships), 6 14 administrative villages, 22 neighborhood committees and 4,558 villagers.
In 2004, Gulin County fully implemented the expansion of strong villages. Gulin County was adjusted from 6 14 administrative villages to 269 administrative villages, and 23 neighborhood committees were adjusted to 16 communities. After the adjustment of village organizational system, some towns and villages only have jurisdiction over 2-3 administrative villages. Gulin County covers an area of 3 182.3 square kilometers (actually controlled by 3 183.5 square kilometers), and governs 12 towns, 13 townships and 4 ethnic townships.
By the end of 2006, it administered 12 towns and 14 townships (including 3 ethnic townships).
In May 20 15, the Sichuan provincial government gave an official reply, agreeing to the request of four townships, including Shiping Township in Gulin County, to withdraw their townships and set up towns. Gulin County governs 16 towns and 10 townships.
