What is the geomantic omen and history of Langzhong?

Langzhong, formerly known as Baoning, is a county-level city managed by Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the northeast of Sichuan Basin, in the middle reaches of Jialing River, at the southern foot of Qinba Mountain, surrounded by mountains and water. It is adjacent to Bazhong City and Yilong County in the east, nanbu county in the south, Jiange County in the west and Cangxi County in the north. For more than 2,000 years, it has been a military center in Bashu, with the reputation of "Fairyland in Yuen Long" and "Rare in Langzhong".

Langzhong is known as "Fairyland in Yuen Long" and "Bashu Forest", where the poet Du Fu of the Tang Dynasty left a famous sentence "Langzhou is vast and sparsely populated". Langzhong Ancient City, one of the four best-preserved ancient towns in China, is located in a city built in full accordance with the astronomical geomantic theory of the Tang Dynasty, and is known as the "Geomantic Ancient City".
