Because Line 5 is too saturated in the morning rush hour, and in line with the development of the future Science and Technology City area and the high-end headquarters base around Bohai Sea, it is connected to Shunyi West Station of Beijing-Shenyang Passenger Dedicated Line, and there is no subway problem in the north of Tiantongyuan, the East Second Ring Road and the east of Yizhuang Industrial Park Road. Therefore, it is decided to give priority to the construction of Line R2 to relieve the pressure on Line 5.
This line starts from Future Science and Technology City in the northern section of Beiqijia District, passes through large residential areas such as Tiantong Dongyuan, Beiyuan Jiayuan and Qingheying, and then transfers to 13 and 10 lines after arriving at Sun Palace. Then continue south along the second ring road and a half to the south, then turn to Yizhuang, and finally set up the second Yunhe South Station.
