Liutanghe Legend Liutanghe

One of the legends of Liutang River

During the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty, there were frequent floods in Suqian area. Suqian in history is a famous "flood corridor" because the river is in disrepair all the year round, the water system is disordered and nobody cares about it, and water will cause disasters.

There is a saying among the people that "Yimeng Mountain wears a hat and the flood is coming". This means that as long as there are clouds and rains on Yimeng Mountain, Suqian will be flooded.

Yimeng Mountain in Shandong Province is located in the upper reaches of Suqian, and all its rainwater is injected into Roman Lake. Every time the flood washes away the lake embankment, it overflows the Grand Canal, flows into the Yellow River and flows into the sea in the east. At that time, as soon as people heard that the flood was coming, they fled without soul, took their children, helped the old and the young, fled for food and left their homes. Thousands of ordinary people were drowned and starved to death, and the number was countless.

In order to appease the people, the emperor sent a minister from North Korea to visit Suqian. When the minister climbed to the top of Maling Mountain, he saw that the Roman Lake was rough and connected with the canal, and it was endless and white. He thinks it is necessary to build dams, dredge rivers or dig new rivers in order to control floods.

Suqian is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Located on the bank of luoma lake, Maling Mountain forms a natural barrier, which just blocks the lake. If you want to row a lake, you must dig a mountain to open a river, but it is not difficult. Courtiers and Suqian local officials wandered around Maling Mountain and Lake Rome for several days. I didn't realize why.

On this day, the courtiers came to the top of Maling Mountain and looked around. Suddenly, they found a hill by the lake with dense black pine forest and abnormal climate. He carefully looked at a mountain occupied by pine forests, like a phoenix with wings spread and flying, with its head facing luoma lake and straddling the mountain. The courtiers secretly marveled that it was a treasure!

He asked the county magistrate, "What is that?"

The magistrate replied, "The place name here is Phoenix Pier, and that pine forest is Phoenix Forest. It is the ancestral grave of the Luda family who is an official in North Korea today. "

Hearing this, the courtiers gave a thump and asked, "Is it the Lu of today's dynasty?"

The county magistrate replied, "Exactly".

The courtier didn't say anything, but turned back to his residence. I thought that Lu and I had a gap in North Korea. Why don't I take this opportunity to vent my personal hatred by breaking his feng shui land? So, he wrote to the emperor overnight and decided to cut off the ridge of Maling Mountain from Phoenix Wharf and divert water to the east for flood discharge. Long live the drama. The courtiers ordered the county magistrate to lead the civilian workers to open a river in the Phoenix Dunqieling within a time limit.

Who knows that the start is unfavorable, the mountains are cut and compounded, and the rivers are digging up sharply. The civilian worker couldn't dig a few feet of hard soil during the day, but he recovered his original landform overnight and grew up. Digging for several days, digging for several days, all have no effect.

The magistrate reported to the courtiers, who came to the scene to supervise the work. It still is. What's going on here? The courtiers were so anxious that they frowned and were at a loss.

At this time, folk workers talked about the legend one after another: "Phoenix Wharf is the place where Phoenix lives. The Lujia family wants three buckets and three liters of sesame officials, and the feng shui can't be broken!" "Phoenix will not fall into a place without treasure. If you want to talk here, even Phoenix won't agree! " Wait a minute.

One night, the courtier tossed and turned and couldn't sleep, so he got up and went for a walk outside. The night was getting deeper. When he came to the foot of the mountain, he suddenly heard two old people whispering on the mountain.

One of them said, "This mountain is a treasure trove of geomantic omen. Breaking ground here is wishful thinking. "

Another added, "It's not difficult to talk here. You must use dry wood and fire, sprinkle pepper noodles, and burn for 77 149 days to make it! "

"But how can they mortals know this!"

There is still a conversation below, because the courtiers didn't hear it clearly because of the strong wind.

It turns out that these two people are not mortals, but grandparents of Maling Mountain God. Two mountain gods came here by chance to chat casually, but they were listened to by courtiers.

Although the courtiers were dubious about the story of the mountain god, they sent people to find dry wood and Chili noodles. Sure enough, in the burnt pond, they saw something oozing from the gap between the soil and the stone. It is said that this is the blood of Phoenix after it was burned to death.

When the news reached Beijing, Lord Lu heard that the ancestral graves had been destroyed and hurried back to his hometown. He saw that the newly opened river was really beneficial to the people. Instead of blaming the courtiers, he praised him for benefiting the people of Suqian, avoiding floods and making great contributions. He also took out some money and donated it to migrant workers in his hometown to show his support for the new river excavation.

People were deeply moved by Lu's tolerance and generosity, and became a beautiful talk for a while. In memory of him, Suqian people named this newly opened river "Lutang River", which is now Lutang River in the north of Suqian. It originated from Roman Lake, flowed through Suqian, Siyang, Lianshui and Guannan, and flowed into the East China Sea, also called Liutang River.

The Legend of Liutang River (2)

I don't know if it's the year of the donkey. There is a family living in the west of the city. The husband died young, and the woman's family was in her forties, with a teenage boy.

One day, this woman steamed sugar steamed bread, burned the earthen stove and the pot, and the grass at the door of the pot burned out. She went to the haystack in front of the door and hugged the grass. She saw a big osprey sleeping in the haystack with one leg closed and basking in the sun. Coincidentally, there was a dung spoon on the haystack. She picked up the dung spoon and killed the osprey with one punch. She took the osprey home, and the child clamored for it, so she filled it in the bottom of the pot. Soon, I heard many people shouting in the pot hall: "Oh, it's stuffy!" " "She listened, then dragged the osprey out of the bottom of the pot and listened to the shouts. It was in the bird's belly. She quickly cut open the bird's stomach with a knife, dragged a big fish out of the bird's stomach and listened again. The shouts are still in the fish's stomach. She cut open the fish's belly with a knife, and thirty people came out of it. Finally, a big ship was pulled out of the fish's stomach. It turned out that these 30 people were catching fish in the sea in a big boat, and the boat was swallowed by a big fish like a hill. Later, when they heard an osprey calling in the sky, they thought it was taken away by the osprey, and they didn't know what happened afterwards.

At this time, more than 30 people were hungry, so the women told them to enjoy the cool under the big tree first, and when she steamed the sugar steamed bread, they asked them to eat together. After a bag of cigarettes, the sugar steamed bread is steamed. More than 30 people carried a sugar steamed bun under a big tree, and before they could cut it with a knife, they ate it around their mouths. More than 30 people are full, but they still don't eat sugar. There are two crazy haunted people, one in the south and the other in the north. Who knows this trick? They pounded two big holes on both sides of the sugar steamed bread. As soon as they pulled out their fists, the sugar water in the steamed bread went straight out. This thorn pierced a river six miles south and a river six miles north. Later, the river in the south was called Nanliutang River, and the river in the north was called Beiliutang River. The rivers in the north are all sand, also called Shahe. The water in these two rivers is sweeter than that in other rivers, and the meat of fish, shrimp and crab grown in these two rivers is sweeter and more delicious than that in other rivers.
