On February 27th, 2002, Hengxian Liu Jing Industrial Park was formally established. On February 6, 2002, with the approval of the people's government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it was upgraded to an autonomous regional development zone. On August 30th, 2003, it was renamed as Nanning Liu Jing Industrial Park, and continued to follow the relevant policies of autonomous regional development zones. Nanning Liu Jing Industrial Park, backed by the southwest and facing Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, is located at the intersection of "China-ASEAN Free Trade Area" economic circle and "Pan-Pearl River Delta" economic circle, with outstanding location advantages and convenient transportation, and is the intersection of Guangxi (Forestry) (North) Sea Expressway and South (Ning) Guangzhou (State) Expressway; Gui Xiang Railway and Li Qin Railway pass through the territory; Golden Waterway-Yujiang River flows through the park, and ships of 1000 tons can pass through all the year round, connecting Baise and Nanning, and releasing them to Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong; The park is only 70 kilometers away from Nanning International Airport. The "four-in-one" traffic advantage of expressway, railway, waterway and aviation has the prerequisite for developing modern industry and logistics industry.
The overall planning of the park is carried out by Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning and Design Institute, and the functional orientation of the park is determined by experts organized by Guangzhou Academy of Social Sciences:

Liu Jing Industrial Park has the advantages of "favorable weather, favorable geographical location and harmonious people". Under the catalysis of many favorable factors, such as China's western development, China's accession to the WTO and China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the South Expo is held in Nanning every year, which makes the park face greater development opportunities and contains unlimited business opportunities. It can be predicted that Liu Jing Industrial Park will become the most attractive "Western Gold Rush" in Southwest China after New China joins WTO.
