Create a myth for the uprising
After Liu Bang chopped the snake, he met an old woman who thought she was crying. The old woman cried. Her son? What about white? Turned into a snake across the road, right? Chi Di's son? Kill, the old lady said? What about white? It's Qin Shihuang, and? Chi Di's son? It's Liu Bang. Taking this as a stunt, Liu Bang grasped the characteristics of folk belief in ghosts and gods, hyped up its mythical color, bewitched people, bought people's hearts, beautified and publicized himself, and laid the groundwork for the Peixian uprising in the later period. Coupled with the tyranny of Qin Shihuang at that time, Liu Bang was able to win the support of the people.
Reasons for Wang Mang's usurpation of the throne in later generations
Before Liu Bang cut the snake, White Snake once said: Everything you do will be rewarded. If you cut off my head, I will usurp you. You cut off my tail, and I will usurp you. ? Liu Bang raised a knife and cut the white python into two pieces. Later, when the Western Han Dynasty acceded to the throne, Wang Mang poisoned the emperor and usurped the Han Dynasty as the new one. Later, Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty destroyed Wang Mang, restored the Han Dynasty and established Liu's Eastern Han Dynasty. The Eastern Han Dynasty and the Western Han Dynasty each have a history of more than 200 years. Although it has a strong mythical color, it has to be said that Wang Mang's usurpation of the throne is the retribution of Liu Bang's beheading the snake.
Whether Liu Bang killed the snake is true or not is impossible to prove. However, his subsequent uprising did help the people at that time get rid of the hot water, overthrew the feudal autocratic rule of Qin Shihuang, and gave the people an evil spirit.
