Liujiang District belongs to Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
It is located in the central part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, southeast of Guizhong Basin, between 23° 54' 30" and 24° 29' 00" north latitude, and between 108° 54' 40" and 109° 44' 45" east longitude. In the north of Liuzhou City are Mashan Township and Shechong Township in Liucheng County; in the northeast it faces Jiangkou Township and Daojiang Township in Luzhai County across from Liujiang River.
It borders Jiangyun Town and Maping Town in Xiangzhou County, Laibin City in the east and southeast, and borders Dawan Town, Fenghuang Town, Beiwu Town and Qidong Town in Xingbin District, Laibin City in the south.
