When I got off the bus, I saw Guanyin Mountain from a distance. The three peaks in front of me are arranged in the shape of a mountain. Two-thirds of the mountains in the middle have Kannonji. The whole mountain looks like Guanyin sitting on the lotus platform. The mountains on both sides are higher than Kannonji, like a pair of golden couple standing on both sides of Guanyin Terrace, sitting on the Lotus Terrace and waiting for the Kannonji built in the middle. This is the treasure house where Guanyin sits on the lotus platform. The upper third of the mountain is the back of the Buddha's light treasure chair sitting on the lotus platform, which is the backer of Kannonji. To put it more vividly, Kannonji's position is like sitting in the middle of a cane chair, and the left and right mountains are golden couples standing on both sides, which shows that the feng shui here is very good. Guanyin Mountain is towering with ancient trees and surrounded by mountains. There is a temple built in the middle of Ming Dynasty to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva, which is a holy place for people in eight counties and districts of Hunan and Guangxi provinces to worship. There are 13 large-scale temple fairs on February 19, June 19 and September 19 every year, with tens of thousands of participants and strong incense.
There are nine peaks on Guanyin Mountain in Lingling, and Kannonji is located in Jiu Feng. When you look at Guanyin Mountain from the outside, you will never think that it is actually a stone mountain. When you walk up the stone steps, you enter another world. The dense leaves overhead block the sunshine, and everywhere is full of vitality, which makes your mood calm and serene, makes your nervous nerves relax instantly, and the troubles and feelings in your heart completely disappear. The rugged rocks and towering peaks on the roadside attract us seal engravers, and we can't wait to pick up the carving knife and splash it on these finely carved stones. The cave under the rock is deep, and the stream flows down the mountain, which makes people feel relaxed and happy like being in a fairyland. There is not a trace of soil on both sides of the mountain road from the foot of the mountain to the temple, but there are trees on both sides of the road, and the ancient trees are towering. One by one, they grow into towering trees from cracks in rocks. It is said that this is the Eden where Guanyin ascended to heaven. Because Guanyin Mountain is a treasure, and there are myths and legends such as Guanyin's supine ascension to heaven, the incense here is very prosperous, especially during the three days when Guanyin was born, enlightened and became a Buddha, local people and pilgrims from afar gathered to offer sacrifices to Guanyin in the form of temple fairs. The temple is filled with incense and a sea of people.
